If you like blood orange pale ales and you just mowed the yard and are now sitting out in the shade in the backyard like me

The Nomura DIPA is coming back to Pinthouse on July 4th. Get it while you can. It'll be gone in a couple of days.

4J brewing

1) Damn the 2 lady owners running the tap room are nice

2) Their tap room is more like a closet with no a/c

3) Their pale ale smells and tastes like vomit. Their blond smells like vomit, but tastes pretty pleasant. Their amber is tart... hmmm. Their stout is their best beer, but its pretty mediocre. At least its not vomit-y.

So my buddy started (and closed) Bindlestick in Leander and while the beer was much better quality than what you’re describing, it was the same industrial warehouse with a small walk-in in the corner type vibe that you’re showing pictures of here. The upside for those guys is that they have those ladies serving and not me helping pour beers like at bindlestick.

Dammit, where the fuck is LO berliner weibe!?

greenspoint, you been back to Great Heights since September?

Nope... goddamn, has it been that long? I need to make a trivia night or something soon

I think we still had just two beers when you dropped by. We’ve brewed 14 different beers on the big system now and been in more than 60 accounts.

I hope to stop by and try the Berliner today. Maybe bring back a crowler for the aggy game tonight.

Yup. And its not really even hazy

Yeah, I was really disappointed in St Arnold's attempt at a hazy, especially after trying it next to one of Spindletap's hazy IPAs.

I dig the authentic frontier gibberish.  I speak jive, so I was able to translate.

And my guess is, pretty soon.  Last year I believe it was a midsummer release?

Alls I know is I'm drinking the hell out of Grodziskie right now.  It's also fun to go half and half with Pilz and make a Pilziskie.  That's what the owner does most of the time these days.

Finally made it out to Lone Pint. Hot as balls today, but plenty of shade to sit in, grass for the kids to run around, and beer for me to drink.

No idea. The whole lot next door next to Chicken Express is open for us to sit in. Maybe they bought it?

Finally made it to Southern Heights last week. I thought the beers were really good. It was hot as fuck in there though. I’ll wait until Fall to go back.

Had the Great Heights Berlinerweisse last Wednesday. Good stuff. Hefe was good too.

I'm just not much of a fan of their beer.  But if somebody tries it, let us know if it's any good.  I'd be happy to have another good Texas pilsner to drink on the lake.

Been bugging the guys at Hop Stop in Humble to get some Great Heights stuff.  the rolled out the Wakefield IPA last week.   Dang I like that beer.   They have two of the Eureka Heights IPAs on tap right now and Wakefield kicks their ass.

Anybody had the Abita Old Fashioned Pale Ale.   Hobida Shibida.  that is a fine beer.  Tastes like an Old Fashioned.   very nice.

we have a pint night lined up there in july. i’ll remind you when we’re closer. also brought them the hefe and citramendous, i believe. thanks for the support.

Got into the beer fridge last night a had a bottle of Deschutes Black Butte XXVII Imperial Porter.  I think it was released in 2015 or 2016.  Damn it was good.  I have a 29th Anniversary and I think I'll hold onto it for another year.

I go to the Hop Stop 2-3 times a month, great beer place way out in this part of the city. It's owned by a couple; I grew up with the wife. Very good people. Cool to see their place get mentioned. My routine is usually to hit the Hop Stop and Ingenious Brewery back to back.

Washed the truck and wife's SUV today, as well and cleaned my trucks interior, so I've been on a ABW Flavor Country / Axis IPA bender since about 3 or so.  Just wish I had a Dos or Corona after I was done detailing, but other than that, heaven!

Had a BB2 and an Adelberts first batch saison last. Both had held up really well.

how is that? needed a review before buying. thx.

Enjoyed Natural Harmonics, hope it sticks around and gets canned some day soon.

Average to good American style Pilsner imo. It’s not a word beater but it’s damn good in the summer heat and worth the price of admission for at least one sixxer

I guess I'll give it a try.  If it sucks, I'm blaming you, deft!

Are you prepared to walk past Gold, Pilz, Pearl Snap, and Hans Pils to get it?

That just tells you how grateful you should be about your Pilsner situation. All the more reason to try to expand the stable.

I doubt I'll walk past them, I'll probably buy them all.  :)

Never hurts having a cooler full of delicious canned local pilsners loaded up in the boat.  And if it sucks, then I'll just move it to the "guest cooler" and let other people finish it off.

But I'll still blame deft.

I expanded your mom's stable last night.

For the record, i've been doing 95% of my beer shopping at Total Wine lately simply because of their unfuckingmatchable beer singles wall. You can get a whole variety of pilsners of a couple bucks each. Anything they have in stock can be bought as a single IIRC. Its what i've been looking for my whole life.

That phat dude doing good stuff. Finally made it by.

Bam bam is damn tasty. Wish was a little more Citra vs mosaic. But damn impressive.
I could slam that kolsch al damn day. ebcbbcfe90a0780bb40bc57f0723c955.jpg

It’s a perfectly acceptable Pilsner. Wasn’t blown away. Wasn’t disappointed.
