I drank beer with my friends.  Almost everyone did.  Sometimes I had too many beers.  Sometimes others did.  I liked beer.  I still like beer.

Put it on a throw pillow?

Anyone had Lake Austin Ales Juicy (IPA and DIPA versions)?  It's been launching all over town.  I had a really bad IPA at Celis a few weeks ago named Juicy.  I hope this wasn't the same beer.

no idea if it was the same beer, but the Lake Austin stuff is definitely brewed at Celis.

LA is definitely brewed at Celis, but Celis also makes an IPA called Juicy (and several other shitty IPAs). Why? The world may never know.

Is uncle Billy’s still brewed there? A trio of breweries in one building?!

Prairie consider yourself hugged? I prefer consider yourself shoulderchecked.

UB's, LA, and Pedernales (including their robert earl keen line). A real murderers row.

Is it hazy because of the protein powder?

Best Oktoberfest brewed in Texas? Bonus points for availability in Houston.

Where will you be when Mr. Falcon attacks?!

Curiosity got the best of me and I tried the Juicy Double IPA. Would not recommend.

Do you even Red Horn bro?

I have a feeling I’m going to end up there on Sunday. I want to try their new Berliner weisse along with all the usuals.

Special thanks to Spanky for tonight’s victory beer!

That sounds as bad as community’s funnel cake beer.....which is disgusting.

Confession: I did too. Tasted vaguely of pickles.

Community’s funnel cake ale tastes nothing like what it sounds

at least abinbev/Revolver thought to put mustard on the rim to make it remotely taste of a corn dog

Beer nerds,

Headed to Charleston next weekend. Any SC or mid-Atlantic brews I need to sample?

Charleston has a pretty weak beer scene.  Lagunitas has a tap room there, but there's not much for local presence when the wife and I went a few years back.

Edmund's Oast - brewpub in Charleston

Westbrook - brewery isn't in Charleston (Mt. Pleasant) but you should see it on tap a number of places.

Thanks gents. Same report my Gamecock cousin gave. Probably just sample some Westbrook we see around town.

Especially since I just sat down to enjoy the best DDH-IPA9987ea806cb3f89463b0660d9ac238e1.jpg

A colabier. Yes it’s wheat beer and cola. I tried it just to say I did and found myself enjoying it and several more throughout the trip.

What I confirmed on this trip, Germans know beer.

The owner and the head brewer from Live Oak went to Poland to collaborate on a Polish grodzisky  style beer.  They're also working to bring back some actual Polish hops to Austin, so far they've been using Czech hops to make the beer.  This is an interesting video short on their visit, put together by the Polish brewery.

I give 'em points for trying, but wow.
