shut up lance, that was an absolutely perfect pass and Hamm just wasn't ready.

anither great look from Ramey, who is now our best all around player. Ramey and Hayes are real deal Big XII players.

Hayes with the typical "you're a big man so it's a foul when this guy lowers his shoulder and drives into you" foul. a la Dexter Pittman, Cam Ridley, Shaq Cleare, and every other big man we've ever had.

Ramey is dominating this game.

Ramey's such a baller. I hope Shaka's gone next year so he doesn't beat it out of him. I still cannot think of a single player who has improved with an offseason under Shaka.

It just doesn't happen. Guys may get a little bigger, a little older, a little more mature looking, but they're the same player every year. Or they've improved by leaving Texas and going to the NBA. Player development is nonexistent.

Isaiah improved.....

Shaka is gonna have to go zone some because I don't think we survive with Coleman and Hayes on the bench long.

Why Texas doesn’t do that (ball inside to Sims, etc) all the time instead of jacking up mostly missed 3s is beyond me.

...somewhere other than Texas.

He was only with Shaka one year and he didn't make any noticeable jump with Shaka compared to how he already was under Barnes.

yeah Hepa has a shot ton of work to do before he becomes competent defender. hopefully by this time next year he's at least serviceable.

Mitrou-Long has the handles and attitude of a hooper and the IQ of freshman J'Covan Brown. Dude is too old and experienced to be playing like this all season.

Agree

At least the team looks game .... without DO and Roach there a welcome drop in the my dog just died vibe... though Simms has a bad case of it too

Just survive this half. Without Hayes and Coleman for most of the half we're pretty much down 4 starters

Fouls 8 to 2...seems legit...and somehow we're still in it.

to be fair to Long he isn't suited for our style. a bunch of guys standing around on the perimeter waiting to shoot threes is just about the worst offense for him to be in. he could possibly thrive in a system that let him get up-and-down, that avoided half court sets if possible, and that had a lot of fluid, moving parts.

You can tell he's not used to the athleticism. He's a step slow on offense and is frustrated that moves which used to work no longer get him by his man.

Baseball update: UTSA scores 4 runs, 6-4 UT.

Thanks

These guys on the floor play so much harder and with so much more joy and passion than the likes of Roach and DO. I'm sorry to our seniors but losing them is addition by subtraction. VV nailed it with his earlier post.

Hepa with a great looking three.

His shot looked really good on that one.

So guy with flu symptoms and fever... put him around the healthy players!

Baseball update: UTSA has loaded the bases, again. No outs.

And we’re working it inside too!

Texas is playing with a fuck it/nothing to lose attitude without Roach and Osetkowski. No real pressure. Everyone thought this was an auto loss.

Baylor brings out the best in us.

Our size really hurts them. Especially with them trying to rebound out of the zone.

PSA: UTSA has scored 6 unanswered to tie us on LHN.  Christ.

Definitely an urgency and “want it” that DO and Snoop never bring
