May 30, 20223 yr Mitch was great, as were Vanessa Bayer/Hodges in the pitch scene. interested in seeing what they do with Bunny Colvin.
May 31, 20223 yr My wife watched the latest one with me tonight and kept asking who all these people who want to kill him are. Honestly, I don't remember any of them because the previous seasons were so long ago, but I really don't care.
May 31, 20223 yr Beignets by Mitch is an excellent plot device. Edited May 31, 20223 yr by Prepuce of Doom

May 31, 20223 yr Bil Hader is such a good director. Hopefully he gets some more projects. It seems he came into his own here. I recall he did one with the ninja kid that was very odd.

I'd agree. Especially this just being a 30 minute show with 8 episode season. People pretend like there time is worth a lot all the time but they know it's not. I waste more than 30 minutes a week just staring into blank space.

After all the bitching on this thread about the first 2 episodes I was tempted to give up. Glad I didn't.
June 3, 20223 yr I said it before, but I think this series would benefit from binging more than a weekly drop. Or at least dropping the first three or so episodes before going weekly.

June 3, 20223 yr haha. that baker guy... bro.. who is sharon? that one confused me, imma have to google and see the history of chris and barry.. im lost..
June 6, 20223 yr Getting pretty dark. Per Bill Hader, next week's finally will be very intense. https://www.thewrap.com/barry-season-3-episode-6-bill-hader-interview-recap-2/
June 7, 20223 yr My wife and I were talking before the show, and she said “I don’t think Barry died; I think it is like the Leftovers and he goes to purgatory.” she wasn’t 100% correct, but pretty damn close.

June 7, 20223 yr I have been on board with this show the whole time though, as it and he has taken a darker turn, I’m fascinated/baffled as to how they’ll be able to stick the landing when it comes to a series finale.

June 13, 20223 yr I would love to see another season, but I think this is the perfect ending, The End
June 22, 20223 yr Wtf did I just watch? That was fucking nuts. Definitely going to have to watch that again. Of course, Sally. She’s always given me a “hide the knives” vibe.
June 29, 20223 yr Definitely agree that the beginning of the season sucked. I liked it as it went on....but definitely found myself rooting against Barry and hoping that someone kills him. The various attempts at "payback" on him were humorous though. And obviously i thought he deserved what he got at the end of the season. Shoulda listened to Mitch on that zoom sesh for sure. Dip that toe, bro.
June 30, 20223 yr Man, that was fucking dark. So is it done? Edited June 30, 20223 yr by Biff Tannen apparently not. they greenlit season 4
June 30, 20223 yr you know someone is going to get Barry out of prison because they need him to take care of something for them. Probably something to do with Elena/Fernando and they're going to need him to go after Cristobal or Hank.

Dip that toe, bro. the character i cant stand is stephen root's. he serves no purpose - didnt when he was on barry's side, or against. he's a con artist and has no value. someone needs to off that mother.
June 30, 20223 yr I'm going to give season 4 a shot, but they really need to step it up. The whole appeal of Barry was that is was a dark comedy. Season 3 was just fucking dark and not only that, just fucking weird.

I hate his story lines too. They're pointless and dumb. But he was great in the beginning, and i enjoy his shenanigans, so i give it a pass. It definitely feels like they've set it up to where Barry and Fuches can reunite in prison.
July 21, 20223 yr Author Have to admit this one fell off my radar during Covid. Fully caught up now. Season 3 bought the lulz. Motorcycle chase. Too many dogs. Voice to text. And some seriousness with Barry’s buddy telling him this isn’t him. Sally’s a bit much though. I think somehow Barry’s buddy comes through next season.
September 20, 20223 yr Just binged this; it's awesome. Bill Hader is a beast. The ability for this show to go from dramatic and tense to comedic and absurd, from scene to scene, and have it work, is amazing and why this show is special to me.
March 7, 20232 yr Sounds like this will be the last season. Probably a good idea. It’s not built to go on forever.

March 29, 20232 yr Season 1 was basically perfect. A perfect dark comedy. Season 2 was really good. Season 3 was.... not really funny at all. This looks similar. I'm not sure if I'll even watch.
