Well, at least one Texas fan still has some enthusiasm.

I have seen many a big early lead get chipped away at in this game. Could happen.

Better scoreboard operators at beer league softball

Apparently it's possible to be too smart to understand baseball or operate a scoreboard.

Oh ye of little faith. We will either win this or bring it back pretty close

Not if their pitchers are going to be getting those calls.

At least Son of Bertel doesn't get cheated. Let him play and he'll run into a few of those.

Honestly, all that matters is McCann being able to play tomorrow. This season is fucked if we have to rely on Peter long term.

Actually, O'Donnell hasn't been too bad these last couple of innings.  Maybe he works through it and becomes a contributor.

I'm more worried about the next two weekends. I'll trade the rest of this one for some conference games.

Yeah I want Gallindo back.

That's why I listen to the radio.

Well fuck that, then, about OConnell.

Jack Neely in to try and record his first out as a Longhorn with the bases loaded.

Radio just said we don't play Stanford next year.

Well, at least we need to win one of the next two games then.

They’ve beaten me into submission. Galindo is Vin Scully by comparison.

Tomorrow's weather forecast in Palo Alto.  Could be a rough day, weather-wise.  Advantage:  Us.

I would be surprised if they played.

This right here. 10 days ago I was wondering why our 3rd string catcher was so involved in costing us a game, now with DJ's surgery and a potential McCann injury, I'm wondering how much he lowers this potentially special team's ceiling. He can't stop balls in the dirt, which affects our pitchers, he's a defensive liability in general, he can't hit... I'm not saying he's trash forever, but he's not our standard right now at arguably the most important position on the field.

Looks like we just came out with the idea of just winging it.  Stanford came out very focused, from the first pitch.

We really haven't been that bad except for the 3rd inning, which is what's frustrating.

Lost a run in the first with that bad 2nd base ump call.  Error in the 2nd, and like you said, that disastrous 3rd.  If we eliminate the first 3 innings, we win this game 1-0.  We needed to take a deep breath and settle down, and get back to playing better.  Hopefully, McCann will be able to play the other two games.  We've done pretty good from the 4th inning on....so far.

Neely was impressive coming in to a tough situation.  He could be a great asset.

Texas   1-5-2

Stan      8-8-0

Ugly.  Gave up our 1st HR of the year.  McCann injured (TBD).  Saturday's game scheduled for 4:05.

The wild pitches and passed balls are out of control. I don't know if we are going to find an answer to this problem this season.

He pitched 3 1/3 innings, struck out 6, so....pretty good showing to keep things in check.
