December 2, 20241 yr I thought this quintet was the end. Pissed I have more to slog through. The inch deep emotions and random karate melees are just funny enough to keep me going.
December 2, 20241 yr I thought it was cool they got some real life martial arts champions in there like Zara. Was also under the impression this was the final season. Are there more episodes this season or is there going to be another season?
December 2, 20241 yr Author I think the final handful of episodes are in January. I'm looking forward to how they explain why the rest of that tournament isn't cancelled, due to the Anchorman fight and the dude literally dying on the mat. They'll probably just have Zara and Tory scissor it out for the trophy.
December 2, 20241 yr I mean I get that it is a ridiculous show, but it went even more off the rails than I expected this half-season.
December 2, 20241 yr Author Miyagi would be rolling over in his grave over literally everything that happens in this show. In the original, fighting in the tournament was just a way for Daniel to prove himself against a bunch of bullies. Now karate tournaments are the most important things on the face of the earth.

February 14Feb 14 Author Through episode one, and high school kids learning karate is still the single most important thing in the history of the world.

February 18Feb 18 The final half season was unrealistic, cliched, cheesy, and full of fan service driven nostalgia. In other words, it was fucking awesome. Many thanks to the creators of this show and for all those that came back to be a part of it.
February 18Feb 18 On episode 12 now. The meeting with the valley folks was peak California. Either vegan food vendors. Crying about bacteria. They nailed that scene

Many thanks to the creators of this show and for all those that came back to be a part of it. Look I didn't come here for the realistic plots and incredible acting. I mean let's face it - the demon sorcerer Miyagi helped LaRusso win the the first trophy with an illegal kick. Despite that, Lawrence still was a class act and congratulated him. So despite how many times the show went off the rails (and not in small ways), the fan service driven nostalgia was worth all the fucking stupidity (and there was a lot).
February 18Feb 18 Author Enjoyed the ending. Spoiler Other than that one dude going "Where's Silver?", was there no mention at all of Kreese and Silver dying on the boat? Nothing from Daniel or Johnny? Also, I was pretty shocked that Johnny didn't do the crane kick at the end. He even looked to Daniel and got the same nod that Miyagi gave Daniel. And that would have fallen right in with the "let him come to you" stuff. Also, Miguel looks 30 now.
February 19Feb 19 They stuck the landing. Series was a lot of fun. Glad to see the focus on Miguel and Johnny to bring it full circle.

Personally, I don't think it was illegal based on my experience in tournaments in the 80s/90s. However the All Valley had different movie rules so it's not really clear.

February 27Feb 27 Sam La Russo must have got the memo of being a lil chunky. By the very end she tightend up but still kept her junk. noice.

February 28Feb 28 Don't mind him, he's literally the worst poster on this site, along with Rex Kramer who neither of which provide any substance to any post they make and follow me around being fucking idiots, as proved again. Which no one would quote them so i didn't have to see the drivel they post.

June 16Jun 16 Author Her fighting against Sam must have been very awkward for her because that actress is a top 10 most nonathletic person to have portrayed an athlete on tv.It was hilarious to watch though. Especially in that brawl when she was going up against some of the best male karate masters in the world.
