Figured I'd fire this up again since we're only a few days out. They seem pretty confident in their lack of confidence on where this bitch is coming down so who the fuck knows. Anybody else still following this?

Zhu Congpeng, from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporate said: "We have been continuously monitoring Tiangong-1 and expect to allow it to fall within the first half of this year."

"It will burn up on entering the atmosphere and the remaining wreckage will fall into a designated area of the sea, without endangering the surface."

Might as well say that since they have a 70% chance of being right.
And it says only one person has been hit by space debris. That has to be a cool thing to put on your resume.

apparently this thing isn't actually big.  would easily fit into the space shuttle's cargo bay.  1/9 the mass of skylab.

They've narrowed it down to either the southern hemisphere or the northern hemisphere.

Antarctica has been ruled out, so 100 people can breathe a sign of relief.

Can't we use aegis to break it into smaller pieces more likely to burn up?
Then they'll know that Aegis disabled it in the first place.
