One might question Henley starting the 8th .. but, there was no fucking question after he walked the leadoff man on four straight pitches. This one’s on him. Exactly this
March 16, 20196 yr Yeah as soon as I saw them keeping Blair out there for the 2nd batter I knew we were in trouble

Like they said earlier, Pierce often goes with what he thinks is a hot hand. But that four-pitch walk should have disabused him of that idea mas pronto. And not having someone up and ready is beyond dumb and inexcusable. That isn't a judgment call. Edited March 16, 20196 yr by TwiceHorn

Henley should have walked out there knowing that one baserunner and he’s done. Pearce seemed to just assume that Henley would get 3 quick outs without question.

I'm ok with Blair coming out to start the inning because he's throwing a gem, but Cole has to be ready and he obviously wasn't.
March 16, 20196 yr Q is not good at holding runners. Tadlock just abused his inexperience twice..... Edited March 16, 20196 yr by LTtxfan
March 16, 20196 yr That was the first inning today tech got the leadoff man on base. All six tech runs scored so far this weekend reached on walks.
March 16, 20196 yr Tadlock smart enough not to push his luck. The lead makes he decision easier, but I’d guess this was always the move.

March 16, 20196 yr Just think if he actually sprinted to first and didnt jog... we wouldnt be having this review
