I'd probably be in; subject to someone posting the buy-in and draft day/time/details?

it's been $20 and we all just send our payment to the winner individually after the contest is over.  i'd be fine with bumping it to $25 but i like everyone just sending it to the winner after it ends rather than paying ahead of time and me having to keep up with it.

we'll draft right here once we get everyone figured out.

sounds good to me; count me in if there is still a spot available.  $25 >$20, but either way is good with me

you multiply your team's seed by the round.  so if you have 6 seed mayland their first round game is worth 6 points, 2nd round is worth 12, 3rd is 18, etc.

for purposes of the draft, the teams playing each other in the play in games count as one pick.  ex. arizona state/st. johns is one pick.

I won't be ready for a while. Was thinking Monday draft like usual. I haven't run ratings yet for this season. Will do them tonight.

ok yeah we can do it tomorrow, or capn, goo, poop and i can make our picks and just wait for you tomorrow.

unlike previous years, i no longer work nights so i'll be a full participant all day tomorrow.

For the new folk - I've only been in once, a couple years ago but... We basically all do our best to make picks promptly on this thread. Like Capn will start by just posting "Abilene Christian" or whatever and then Goo will pick his team, etc.  No. 8 Jack Straw will pick two teams and it snakes back up. The "play-in" games count as one team, you keep whoever wins (so type "Temple/Belmont" for example).

We try to re-post the draft order at the top of new each page so no one accidentally picks out of order.

As far as keeping it moving, everyone understands if you have a conference call, walk dog, etc. but it helps if you post here to let us know what time you think you can come back. Like I have a conference call from 9:30-10 am Central, otherwise I can probably be around all morning.

Any of you veterans feel free to add to that...

Ratings done. Decent job of seeding by the committee as far as this contest goes, no clear obvious top picks like previous years.

I'm in if you need one

@Capn81 already breaking rules.

It clearly states “or whatever”. Haha

that was the other team i was debating.  good to see my head is in the right place.

By the way, I think we should @ the next guy up when we pick. Should have done that with my last post. No harm in it really, and it will be a maximum of 8 notifications on a single day. So, @Bartles

True. I say we give him #16 seeds until he shows up based on giving us bad information. I mean it would be like doing him a favor. There has been at least one 16 seed winner in the first round in 100% of tournaments since 2018.
