Even more ironic when the elephant in the room is the both the symbolic and literal modern GOP and the refusal to talk about this.

I switched to Fox News last night, and they didn’t mention the TrumpTape once. They were too busy discussing the Georgia runoff election.

Nothing wrong with a little white power hand gestures

This guy is a little tamer than the guy above. He just wants to get close to Ainsley and Griff is the next best thing....

Came to post this.  They showed Pelosi and Kevin McCarthy speeches but absolutely nothing on the Trump tapes.  Nothing on the sedition, at all.  It was pathetic.  Their website had it as the top story but the pundits did not have the state sponsored talking points on it so nothing.

This guy just DUNKS on this fox news biaaatch

What I heard:  "This is my only opportunity to fuck with the votes of people from other states that didn't vote the way I wanted them to!"

Hawley seems half smart despite the wisecracks about him (Yale Law Review).....and I know it's impossible to know every federal statute.  But if your entire premise for challenging the certification is based on one particular statute from the 19th century, you should know it verbatim and be able to effectively apply the statute to this situation and fact patter in real time.  All he did there was tip-toe around and imply, "I need something to use as 'precedence' or a federal directive to allow us to sling shit on Wednesday and the best we could find was this completely unrelated statute that's been idle for 150 years."

He knows what he’s doing won’t change shit. He knows it’s hurts democracy. He’s doesn’t give a fuck. He’s doing it to get attention. No one knows who the fuck he is. He wants to change that among the common clay.

His entire premise is 2024, either at the top of the ticket or in the VP slot if Trump actually runs again.

That's why Ted went and got a bunch of other Senators to join in on some bullshit pact thing to challenge this - he needs Hawley to be forgotten amongst a group of 11 or 12 or whatever and/or he needs to be seen as the leader.

I learned a long time ago, that some very intelligent, book-smart people, don’t have any common sense.....and many times, common sense is a lot more valuable when making the right choices/decisions.

There's common sense and there is deliberate intent of misrepresentation. Molly Jong Fast sees it. They are 'reframing' the narrative and it will work if the Democratic leadership doesn't get busy to counter this sentiment:

They aren't reframing anything. They've been crying about white values since Barry Goldwater. This isn't new.

Has the mind meld between Fox News and its typical audience member finally happened and created some kind of sentient artificial intelligence that broadcasts itself over the air?  Which other one of my uncle’s stream of consciousness ramblings can you do a segment on?  “Breaking news:  for my money, anything other than black coffee is for queers and socialists!  And no, America, you cannot make me wear a seatbelt!  Well, back to you, Ainsley.”

Have all the rep. You should do a bit, I can’t stop laughing.

It’s entertainment, not news, so of course he’s acting. That’s his profession and how he earns his salary.

Absolutely. It just infuriates me that his viewers don't instantly recognize that. If he actually believed ANY of what he spouts every night--socialism taking over the country, stolen Presidential election, complete suppression of conservative voices (the mother fucking nerve to argue this with his salary), etc.--then this week would have him livid as a "journalist." Patriots being vilified for standing up for freedom and democracy, so on and so on. But nah, he's yucking it up about endless bread sticks.
