I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’m convinced Tucker has his job at Fox News precisely because he’s a huge piece of shit.

Bill O’Reilly says “hi” and Roger Ailes would as well, if it weren’t for that whole not being alive thing.

And you know Ailes had dirt on everybody when he was running things

And they both went down before the #metoo movement.

I am a bit confused, though....does this mean that we the people can no longer call Tucker a c-word?  I'd like a ruling from the line judge.

Sure, but the point is they are gone.  They weren’t given a chance “to learn from their mistakes” or anything.  They were booted.  O’Reilly was their biggest star, and Ailes had dirt on everybody.

More advertisers are bailing on Tucker today, and we haven’t heard the additional releases they have planned.

And this kind of stuff is popping up:

After Ingraham survived going after a school shooting victim on twitter and Hannity being a secret client of Michael Cohen, I’m a little jaded on what it’s going to take to get one of these thought leaders booted.

It's the loss of advertising money that is going to do him in.  The powers that be don't care that he's a terrible person.  They care that his major sponsors are dropping him as fast as they can.  No company is going to come in and spend the same kind of money Capital One and Outback did.

John Oliver should fill the void with some ad spots.

After promising to let anyone who disagrees with his views come on his program to explain why, Tucker Carlson spent the entire taping of his show Monday loudly and repeatedly interrupting the child bride he had invited on to debate him about underage marriage. “Ma’am, ma’am! You’ll have your chance to talk, but this is my show, and I’m not going to sit here and be lectured about how the world works by someone who hasn’t even finished middle school!” said Carlson, shouting over his guest, 12-year-old Jennifer Bridgemeyer, whose marriage to a man four times her age was arranged by a cult leader and who disagrees with the Fox News host’s stated view that her rape is not as serious as other rapes. “This is ridiculous. I won’t be manipulated like this. Just because you’re a child bride doesn’t give you an excuse to act like a child. Stop crying! Goddammit, cut her mic. Cut it!” At press time, Carlson was urging his producer to completely scrap the interview after Bridgemeyer completely dismantled his argument with the few sentences she had managed to express.

Tucker just needs to not apologize and weather the storm, he’ll be alright.

With racists and misogynists, sure. But not with good people.

that's great advice.

that's great advice.

It also happens to be correct.

Not only does Tucker’s audience not object to him calling various groups of people demeaning slurs that would get a person kicked out of any decent home, THEY LIKE IT. Assholery, cruelty and hate are features, not bugs.

And Fox News devolves further into National Enquirer TV.

That's where the modern Republican Party peddles its wares.

Hannity has on the guy that picked the wrong cup in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movie.

Next batch of audio, where he doesn’t like people who don’t use toilet paper or forks, among other things   Not as crazy as the first, but there’s more clips to follow.

Carlson credited "white men" for "creating civilization" and made numerous racist remarks about the Obamas, including agreeing that Michelle Obama would "be a problem" because she “turns into a sister” and asking of Barack Obama, "How is he Black, for one thing? He has one white parent, one Black parent.” Carlson called Iraqis “semiliterate primitive monkeys” and said Afghanistan is "never going to be a civilized country because the people aren't civilized.” He also said he had “zero sympathy” for Iraqis because they “don’t use toilet paper or forks” and that the war could turn around “if, somehow, the Iraqis decided to behave like human beings."

Tucker has to be nervous.   These folks know what they are doing, and there’s no way the best stuff was in the first two audio releases. He’s clearly comfortable with saying some batshit stuff as well.

He's done.  He will join O'Reilly on the ash heap (and the bestseller list).

I am a bit confused, though....does this mean that we the people can no longer call Tucker a c-word?  I'd like a ruling from the line judge.

Only if you are an Aussie.

How long until we get to the part where conservatives start destroying their own property to own the libs when sponsors start pulling out?  I feel like Milhouse waiting for Itchy and Scratchy to get to the fireworks factory in the Poochie episode.

Holy shit, they picked this week to drop these audio clips for a reason.

Later this week Fox is hosting a promotional event for advertisers at its headquarters, with an eye toward promoting its newscasts like "Special Report" and "Shepard Smith Reporting." So for the company, this new turmoil around Carlson's show and the recent outcry about another right-wing opinion host, Jeanine Pirro, is coming at one of the worst possible times.

Correct, b/c Christian Trumpsters are hypocritical pieces of shit.

The attorney for former FoxNews reporter Nancy Erika Smith tells that a Congressional subpoena trumps the NDA she signed with Fox weeks before the election around killing the story of Trump raw dogging a pornstar behind the back of Melania at home with a newborn.

Apart from Trump, the attorney goes on to say that her disclosure is important because "it furthers the investigation into whether Fox News is really a news organization or a campaign arm of Trump, and whether killing the story represents an illegal campaign contribution based on the value to his campaign" weeks before the election.

Dismantling FoxNews would not suck.

This might help explain why Fox News went dark on twitter and beta tested a new Fox channel.

Here's a direct vid of the attorney of the former FoxNews employee with the NDA speaking about the very real and very problematic implications for FoxNews :

Twitter is a mystery.

Their streaming channel is not - everybody and their brother is running a streaming channel (and Fox had been streaming for years through Hulu, while Fox News has had a highlights channel for years as well), and this is just another revenue stream, except that FN gets 100% of the subscription fees, and %100 of the advertising revenue.  They also get the added bonus of being able to use b-roll footage that would be otherwise wasted, getting additional usage out of their heavyweight shows, and running out their 2nd-and 3rd-stringers (who would otherwise be wasted) to fill in airtime.
