I would love to see a side by side look of the second strike call on Hibbeler T1 and the 2-2 pitch to the Arkansas batter after we botched the play at first base. He didn’t give Neely anything.

LOL yep. I was just looking at that stretch of the game and I noticed the exact same fucking thing. Same damn pitch. One was a ball. One was a strike. The other thing he was doing was that he wouldn't show Neely how the pitching was missing. Pierce had to get all up in his ass before he would even give any indication at all. Complete fuckery.

Doesn't have to be pretty. We just have to win. So we swept LSU  Lost to Stanford  Beat Tech  and split with Arky That's 2-1-1 in series against top 15ish teams. Considering o

Last year's early season OOC is essentially the same as this year's.  Last year we went 9-9 and made the CWS.  This year we went 14-7.

Yeah after seeing several to left and left center from zubia and McCann get knocked down by the wind this season, it was disappointing that the wind decided to help a hog grand slam.

The other home run that inning may have gotten out at the polo grounds, however.  That one had a vapor trail. You may not have seen from the park, but it short hopped a truck parked on the far side of comal.

Yeah agree re: the wind fucking us all season so far, and yeah, that one was smoked. See also: Peter's bomb.

Pierce even got a yellow card in the 2nd because of that pitch.

Yeah that guy is a complete asshole who sucks at his job and life.

BTW I don;t think I've ever seen a Disch HR that got so much help from the wind as that Grand Slam. That looked like an easy pop to left. Probably in front of the LF on a normal day.

Hi, Lowell ...

SIAP, but fuck ark.

LOL...he was finally right about something. I've been going to the Disch since before he was born, and seen a helluva lot of wind-aided dingers. But the real point here is, got-dammit, what happened to Steve?

Now get some hits and put up a crooked number!

We wear the throwbacks too often.

Did LHN do the same opening as last nights? If not then they might have seen the ark tweet because in tonight’s opening it said something along the lines of “Arkansas was one pitch away from a world series but then it was gone”.

Well this inning sucks.  Got to limit the damage to 2 at most.  Come on.

This is like saying breasts are bad.

Can't we go more than 1 inning without giving arky a half a dozen runs?  Gzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Now arky is practicing their bunting against us.  We are like their back-ups playing a scrimmage game.

Arkansas is a good team. They hit well and move runners around. They will probably score double digits tonight

Well, if they do....I won't be watching.  Punching out.

God damn pig call in our stadium.  Shut those rednecks up, please.

It's a bit hard to tell with the cannon fodder we're putting up, but they seem to be on another level from us.  Certainly compared to the other top teams weve played.

putrid start. more bad fielding.  wish we hit like this.

They are definitely top 10. We aren’t.

Well, we have played 5 top ten teams now and hung with four of them.

our fielders really make Shaw work.  Its too bad Zubia is such a bad fielder.  I guess Peter isn't a potential first baseman either.

We would keep their bats quieter with our top 5 starters, and who knows in close games. But not with the end of bench pitching we are giving them.

Plus Texas still has a ways to go at the plate and won’t be able to keep up in high scoring games very often.

I think our mid week pitching and mentality has sucked all year, our weekend team seems to show up ready to play. Not sure how that will play out in a super regional or Omaha type tournament but we look like shit.

True.  I think Arkansas might be really really good this year

I think it's just a young pitcher mentality.  Some will grow into it.  Plus, we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel right now.

3 hopper central.  we are real good at beating the ball into the ground.

What is the matter with Zubia? 6’4 and 250, stands there looking a a perfectly mashable 1st pitch, then goes for a widely breaking ball a foot outside.

Van Horn goes everywhere for players.  39 on the roster and only 10 are from arkansas.  10 players from Texas.

He probably could but he has been a catcher as far back as I can remember.  My son played select ball with him from about the age of 9.  Great kid.  Great family.

Good info.  I know it's hard to train at both but if DJ is coming back(not sure where he is on this), I'd at least try him out.  it would be good to have Zubia, Peter, and DJ in the lineup.

Ark is too small of a state.  I would expect only about 25% from Ark.  heck the university is barely half arkansas based students.

Me too.  I can't think of a team that's clearly better than they are.

Double plays don't get any bigger than that!

Let's scratch out a couple of runs and get back into this thing.

Nice dp son of Shane!

Nice piece of hitting by Masen!  Fights off pitches and gets a knock on 3-2.

Nice bunt, he made them make a tough play.  As usual Gallindo doesn't know what he's watching.

Ugh, that's a terrible strikeout by Todd.  Need Kennedy to pick him up here.

that was fortunate.  when Zubia goes down 0-1 he's not good.
