Day game.  Trying to keep the division lead on the Astros.  Had bases loaded in the first and couldn't get anyone home.  Let's hope Felix remembers how to pitch today.

Now that's a throw back to the old Felix days, including no offense.

Apparently the Mariners acquired a Mike Wright for the bullpen.  Mr. Wright so far has a 9.45 ERA, so I guess he'll fit in with the bullpen just fine.

Wake up ladies, we’re playing. And you kids are facing a kid making his debut.

Check out 2-hole in both lineups...

+rep or whatever for keeping score.  As a fellow score-keeping-enthusiast, I hate it when a team bats around in 1 inning, and you have to cheat into the next column, and hope they don't bat around again.

But it's always nice to score 5 in the 1st inning.  That Hearn guy didn't do very good. 1 out.

So whose scorecard is that?  I like seeing how other people take notes, with all the dots and lines.  And in ink, too.  Impressive.

When you're at Safeco Field next time, go to the Dave Niehaus statue out in the centerfield concourse.  Dave is sitting at his desk, at the microphone, with his scorecard on the table.  The sculptor actually recreated Dave's scorecard from Edgar's Double game to beat the Yankees.  If you understand scorekeeping, you can see his notes and know exactly what game it is.

Hey, you kids may want to tune in tonight. Your boy Kikuchi is only going one or two innings, then your #1 prospect is coming in to relieve him.

I watched up until the 7th or so. Yeah Sheffield needs to calm it down. On the walk off, did I miss something?  Why didn’t he go for the out at home?

I wouldn't have kept stats for all those pitchers either. What a weird game.

Because Logan Forsythe isn’t good.
