@Goo Punch Didn't you know this guy or something? Swear I remember you talking about him a lot before. I've long considered RAB the best independent online blog about an MLB team because they always put out content like this. Unfortunately the owner is shutting down the site after 12 years at the end of April.

The hidden glory of Greg Golson

Yep, he went to Pflugerville Connally. He was built like a UT safety and is one of the best athletes i've ever known. definitely could have been a football star if he'd wanted to.real five tool player. super fast with a cannon arm. ran a Tom Moss-like 6.25 60-yard sprint. never worked out though, like so many others before him. That said he'll always have this:

edit: lol, this entire post is essentially a word-for-word recap of the first paragraph of the link.

He's probably more pissed off about being related to you. Now go back to Cloak Room or wherever it is that you regularly infect with your stupidity and leave this awesome subforum be.

Bradley is exactly like Griffey was defensively -- not that fast, but has incredible instincts to take perfect routes, and if he gets near the ball, he will catch it.

say what you want about his attitude/behavior, this dude is majestic in the field:

i mean he fields the ball on the chalk, takes three steps into foul territory, flicks his wrist, and throws the runner out by 15 feet. wat.

MLB did something the baseballs, the amount of HR's is ridiculous right now.

it's the launch angle revolution. last year was the first year in MLB history where there were more k's than hits. guys are exchanging average for HR.

Striped it down the fairway with a very nice little power fade in it.

Chris Davis finally got his hit. 2 run single in the first inning against Boston.

Edit: haha he was asking for the ball on first base like it was his first hit. Good for him man.

Just drove in another with a double to raise his average to a smoking .056.

Yep dude is a baller
Khris Davis with 16 hrs between Chris Davis hits.
Khris Davis has been a pain in the ass for Texas for a long time now.

In the history of rangers baseball, including Vlad Guerrero and Mike Trout, I don’t know if there’s ever been a bigger pain in the ass to the rangers than Khris Davis

After watching the Yanks and White Sox combine for 15 runs last night, in a constant downpour the entire game, the White Sox get one hit today in CC's season debut. Nice to see a really cool guy like CC have a good start to his final year. Going to miss watching him pitch in the Bronx.

Bullpen had a great last four innings. It's always fun to see Chapman pitch as well. I can't imagine stepping into the batter's box and facing him.

Russell Dorsey must be flabbergasted that a catcher can catch a 100 mph pitch from 55 feet away, if he’s amazed that a first baseman can get his glove on a ball batted at 110 mph from 90 feet away.

Dodgers have lost 6 in a row

Kyle Seager

Rangers winning run scores on a 2 out squeeze. Balls, crazy, or stupid but it worked.

Also had a steal of home on a pick off to first.

Indians cut Brad Miller, one of three guys on their roster with an OPS+ > 100.  They have three guys on their roster with negative OPS+.

^ I like his bolded quote.

Quote

“It’s a tough trend,” said Miller. "They acknowledge that it wasn’t fair. But I’m just a player. I go out there and play my hardest and play for the guys next to me.

Obviously, they don’t want the best guys up here. So I’m just trying to take it somewhere else and see what we’ve got.”

Are we finally getting the Josh Bell breakout? He’s been hitting the ball hard all season, and had a nice game against Scherzer.

And more on the Miller move...

Quote

The Indians signed Miller on March 24 after they declared that Lindor and Kipnis would open the season on the injured list. Miller was previously signed by the Dodgers on Feb. 27, but he was released on March 21. The Tribe knew it would have to make a decision between Miller, Eric Stamets and Max Moroff when Kipnis would rejoin the club. While Miller was one of just four Indians hitting at least .250 on the season, Stamets has hit .053 in 38 at-bats and Moroff is hitting .077 in 26 at-bats.

I know Stamets still has plenty of options. Miller could have faked SS until Lindor returns.

Hey ESPN, maybe run that replay with the f-bomb another dozen times?  Thanks.

Apparently it's Familia yelling it on every pitch.

That game was on where I was picking up dinner last night. Sounded like they had a microphone in everyone's bat, it was absurd. Every foul ball sounded like it had a 120mph exit velocity. Is that the thing now?

I know they had to have one on first base or close to it because at one point they were showing a guy on 1st and he kicked the ground to get his cleat clean and it was pretty damn loud.

Well that was a nice catch by Pearce with Xander all up in his grill

Chris Davis just hit a 2 run homer

Boston pitcher must have been confused by everyone wearing 42 and carelessly served a cookie even Davis couldn’t whiff.

While i realize it isnt sustainable I think it is amazingly hilarious the O's have more wins than NY and Boston this deep into the season even if its less than 20 games.

Also wtf are the Rockies doing??

i noticed that the other night too. i'm hoping it's not the new thing. i like it when the sound of the bat tells me about the hit.
