August 5, 20196 yr What a week the Red Sox have had. Come in winning 3 of 4 against the Yanks and now about to lose their 8th straight game already down 7 in the 3rd.

His Yankee Stadium ERA as a Red Sock is 9.71 (9 games). If NY hangs on it’ll put Boston 14.5 games out of 1st. That’s just too bad. His 3rd inning started with 2 outs then went bb hr 2b 2b 1b 2b 1b bb pulled, some of which were to guys wearing numbers like 74 and 66.

August 5, 20196 yr Hopefully they lose 80 straight Nah.I’d rather the Astros face them in the LDS as the wild card winner But yeah, eesh. Were neck and neck with the Rays at the beginning of the weeksRays W6, Red Sox L8.Rays 6.5 up on Boston

Dodgers best lineup is predominantly lefties. Dodgers could go 8-40 from here on out and still end up with a winning record.

I mean, I’m not an Astros fan, but in theory you could say the same thing about 2 of your 3 starters being LHPs in this scenario. Especially when you consider one of them hasn’t gotten over the mental hurdle of the postseason.

August 5, 20196 yr The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced Greinke won’t be as dominant in the AL. The only AL team he’s faced this year roughed him up, and he doesn’t have a free out in the lineup anymore since there’s a DH.

Just saying we are better off facing righties than lefties. Tough righties indeed (although we've had decent success against Greinke).
August 5, 20196 yr And it’s fucking heartbreaking to see Derek Jeter doing insurance commercials now. There’s no way he’s struggling that much.

But we all know the Astros are the best at...pushing the limit for what’s allowed in regards to pitchers. There’s a little bit of truth in what shit head bauer was saying. And before I get the wrath of all astros fans, I’m not saying that in a “this team should be investigated” way. I’m saying it like that’s exactly what you should be doing. I wish my team would do it. I respect it. It’s like the warriors and their moving screens, or the Seahawks and how the legion of boom could’ve gotten called for defensive holding on every single pass play. You should be trying to find every competitive advantage possible. In any sport. You should be saying to yourself “how far can I push this” because the goal is to win and get the most out of your talent. Just wanted to throw that disclaimer I there. I’m also not saying that’s the only reason you get the most out of your pitchers, for what its worth. You guys are clearly the class organization when it comes to scouting pitching. In those starts he has pitched 25.1 innings, gave up 6 total earned runs (7 total runs), struck out 29, and walked 7. I'm convinced if Greinke was traded to the Yankees you would be gobbling his knob as we speak.
