September 27, 20196 yr In a game between two teams already eliminated and so will have zero bearing on the playoff races, who cares if a team does what Texas did?

September 27, 20196 yr In a game between two teams already eliminated and so will have zero bearing on the playoff races, who cares if a team does what Texas did? This.who gives a shit. If the Red Sox batter had hit a bomb on the next pitch (which is more apt to happen the way the Rangers are( we all laugh and say “stupid Arlington.”The bigger question is why Minor is throwing 126 pitches in a game between two teams already eliminated and so will have zero bearing on the playoff races, but Rangers, you do you.
September 27, 20196 yr I’m guessing because it’s his last start for 6 months so stressing his arm wasn’t seen as a risk. I’d think people would have more issues with the cubs sitting guys this last series and impacting the nl central race.

Literally no one who's not full-blooded aggy would say that.

September 28, 20196 yr Not a great deal of excitement this weekend so I'm just following who winds up with the most homers as a team. It was 301-299 Twins coming in, but the Yanks have hit 5 in their home away from home in Arlington and the Twins have two against the Royals so far. We might see another 10 from each team this weekend. Still can't believe that even with a juiced ball that we are seeing two teams go over 300. This is video game stuff.
September 28, 20196 yr We're guaranteed 2 new teams in the AL playoffs after the same 4 repeated in 2017 and 2018.
September 28, 20196 yr So it's a "You can call me A's, or you can call me Rays, but you don't have to call me Johnson" wildcard game.

September 28, 20196 yr yeah, that's enough of that( wipes shoes on floormat by the door) Now it's time to pull for the Giants.
September 28, 20196 yr I enjoy chaos when my team is not involved in it, so I’m all for a Cards/Crew game 163 in St. Louis.
September 28, 20196 yr Dodgers won today, so it would be nice for us to get a win tonight. We have something to play for
September 29, 20196 yr Alonso got his 53rd to break the rookie record. Might be the highlight of his entire career in Flushing.
September 29, 20196 yr Hader gives up a tying homer with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth. Meanwhile the Cards are batting down 2 in the bottom of the 9th.
September 29, 20196 yr Cubs win but Trevor Story walks it off in the bottom of the 10th. So close to being set up for game 163 but the Cards stay a game up.
September 29, 20196 yr So whoever comes out of the NL Central gets a single elimination game against Scherzer in DC. Good luck with that.
September 29, 20196 yr Verlander got his 300th and 3,000th strikeout in the same game. He finished the year with the 2nd best season WHIP for a starter in the modern era and 5th all time. Edited September 29, 20196 yr by kevwun
September 29, 20196 yr I don’t know why the Brewers don’t throw this game already. Just intentionally walk a guy and balk three times.

September 30, 20196 yr I just think it hilarious that the Angels let cry baby sit around and be mediocre for the majority of the past decade, but boot Ausmus after 1 year. I get that the main reason they did this is because they want Maddon, but still funny as hell to me.
September 30, 20196 yr Hardly seems worth it for one hit saved every 3-5 games. More K and less BIP lessens the impact of fielding position as well. Edited September 30, 20196 yr by Pato del Muerto

October 1, 20196 yr LolMets But seriously, collectively as a league, holy hell thats a lot of work to save a net 32 hits over a full season

Ausmus was a stupid hire at the time. Motherfucker had a losing record. We've got a once-in-a-lifetime talent in Anaheim. It would be nice to win a few games.

He's basically a 20 year younger version of scioscia.
