He had a string of four or five records there that were as good as any of his late 60s/70s stuff, and it felt relevant at the time since so many younger acts were pointing to him as an influence. Hell, Pearl Jam did a whole record with him.

March 28, 20196 yr Fun fact - 90's Bob Dylan co-wrote this Michael Bolton song: https://bob-dylan.org.uk/archives/8221

I heard those Casio keyboards and I gotta take a Lactaid to deal with the overdose of cheese. That aside, I think "To Make You Feel My Love" was a fantastic song.

These two are my favorites, but again poor recording. Edited March 28, 20196 yr by Dolemite
March 28, 20196 yr Goddamnit y’all. This isn’t the “put 90s songs here” thread. Best does not include 311, amongst others. 311? Godfuckingdamnit.

I second the motion! In all fairness, I had a fucking gorgeous stripper tell me all about the reasons she liked to dance to 311's cover of "Love Song". I can't hear that song without seeing her, a lot of her. In very specific ways.
March 29, 20196 yr Author Also mea culpa I posted a Bloodhound Gang song.... let's try to be a little less judgmental. There are a couple of songs I saw on this thread I checked out.... not a genre I was into....
March 29, 20196 yr Also mea culpa I posted a Bloodhound Gang song.... let's try to be a little less judgmental. There are a couple of songs I saw on this thread I checked out.... not a genre I was into.... I only recognize two genres: good and bad. 311 is bad. The frat rock probably belongs in the Cowboys being kicked off campus thread.

March 29, 20196 yr I heard somewhere that 311 is better than Fugazi. Is that true?Everyone knows that. 311 was on mtv and fugazi wasn’t. Duh bro.
March 29, 20196 yr Author All BS aside I always felt like Fugazi was a commercialized version of The Dead Milkmen.... but this isn't an 80s thread
March 29, 20196 yr Ever seen a hot chick strip to Fugazi... if so, we need to hang outThis brings up a good question - what is the best stripper song...
March 29, 20196 yr Author It's not this one... but this is a great 90's song imho.... last gasp of 80's punk.... very Rockabilly

March 29, 20196 yr Author Thanks for clearing that up for me, I didn't like the Social D version after all.... who knew?
March 29, 20196 yr I remember the Social Distortion version coming out, and it bothered me for awhile. "I know this song."
March 29, 20196 yr This brings up a good question - what is the best stripper song...I could answer but it’s not a 90s song and Patricia might get mad at me.

April 1, 20196 yr Ball and Chain is pretty much Dead Flowers, but so are a lot of songs that kick ass (Used to Love Her by GNR comes to mind).
