March 21, 20196 yr @Joe Jamail . 1 event on opening day. Stanford wins relay, Horns 5th. Men @Jamail next week. ps Anchor leg for Stanford swam an extra 50yds, 2 lengths of the pool. It's legal and all that, but for those that think swimming 200 yards would be a challenge, this girl turned and motored on at world class pace for 250 yards. March 21, 20196 yr Saw Rowdy Gaines in the lockeroom at our YMCA today (Town Lake represent). He mentioned covering the women’s championship for ESPN. Really nice guy. I don’t think many recognized him.

In HS there was another FR IMer that our coach was trying to feel out for specialty. The B relay was always rotating around changing legs. More than once at invitationals he’d finish his leg and keep swimming, same stroke, next IM stroke, whatever was in his head. Used to drive us mad. Focus.
