My Chromium browsers have been freezing up. When I close all processes in task manager, one will remain (like chrome.exe and opera.exe). So, I've been restarting.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there any solutions or safe, alternate browsers? tia

If it’s like Chrome, you just have to wait a bit. Usually 30-60 seconds. This happens to me a lot. Also, you don’t know which chrome.exe is causing the issue since Chrome opens a separate one for every plug in that is installed.

Firefox rules.  Mostly because it isn't spyware.  It's super-competitive with Chrome now.

I use opera and vivaldi on occasion when chrome is acting up. I used to opera app on my phone to avoid using facebook messenger. But yeah, opera and vivaldi are worthwhile laptop browsers.
