$350. Or $3,500.  You know some Musk fanboi will pony up for it.

Shit. Everybody needs to be looking for stuff in their garage that even remotely resembles hardware that could be on a rocket, that  they can sell on eBay.

I can't imagine going on a soviet-style purge will be helpful to the mission of making it to the Moon and Mars.

He only talked about Mars, so I’m guessing the Lunar missions have been scrapped in favor of whatever Musk whispered in his ear.

NASA’s memos are now using Hans Landa as a template. Just super.

Now, my job dictates that I must have my men enter your home and conduct a thorough search before I can officially cross your family's name off my list, and if there are any irregularities to be found, rest assured they will be — that is, unless you have something to tell me that makes the conducting of a search unnecessary. I might add, also, that any information that makes the performance of my duties easier will not be met with punishment. Actually, quite the contrary, it will be met with reward, and that reward will be your family will cease to be harassed in any way by the German military during the rest of our occupation of your country.

That letter reads like it was written by someone who failed hard at parenting multiple children.   And, oh yeah, a fucking communist.

If I had to put my name on a memo like that, I'd tell my boss to go fuck themselves.

Well it's a good thing SpaceX is doing so great at blowing up rockets while we're slashing NASA's budget, along with the National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd. It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Seems like a bad time to be in the rocket engine testing business. A SRB nozzle for the Artemis program went kablooey during a static test fire on the range. Just happend yesterday, so no analysis on what went wrong yet

Who’s familiar with Cape Canaveral launch viewing spots?

@RamjetFDO?

is this (Gantry at LC-39) worth it?

https://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/event/spacex-falcon-9-o3b-mpower-d/

gonna be in the area Monday. Never been or seen a rocket launch.

considering taking the family, but looks like this spot requires KSC admission and the transportation ticket means it’ll be over $700 for our family of 4 :/

Our airports are a mess, but the good news is we have a reality TV show guy and Fox host who is in charge of that and lots of other stuff while building a nuke plant on the moon.

Dovetails nicely with this:

The important thing about building a nuclear reactor on the Moon is that Trump is in the Epstein files.

Hmm.. I see one minor issue that may arrise with a nuclear reactor on the moon.

The Nuclear Energy Institute estimates that one nuclear reactor requires between 1,514L and 2,725L litres of water per MWh. It equates to billions of gallons of water per year, and all this water requires filtering somehow.

^Would the physics of space and near absolute zero temps change that water requirement?

(I'm genuinely curious, I wonder how that stuff would work in space).

Yes.  The heat would probably just get radiated into space.
