He's in line to be the winning pitcher either way

So if the visiting team breaks a tie in the next half inning and wins, the visiting pitcher is the winning pitcher of record. I always thought if the inning ended tied, the next pitcher was the pitcher of record.

Cool.

Go blow Osuna.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t share your concern the longer this has gone on. And he’s not particularly likable, so you’re barking up the wrong tree. But the way you had that quote from a month ago (or whenever it was) teed up is fucking weak.

This whole mess is why I was hoping Hinch would at least let Harris start the 9th. But no.

wow lucky call there

Oh man, another friendly high strike punchout.  Unbelievable.

Wow.  I can't believe he rang him up on that.  The reigning mvp against a guy that barely knows where it's going right now.  And it's hard to get high breaking ball calls in the best of circumstances.

Yikes. Generous indeed. But won’t matter if we don’t get another out.

Wow.  Yelich took that a lot calmer than I expected.

Never any doubt

Way to keep working James out of the jam you created

Tied with the Yankees and 1 game up on the Dodgers pending their game tonight.

And back in the lead for the AL! A game ahead of the Dodgers.

Yeah, it broke down to only being 6 inches high.  There aren't many worse calls than that one.

Gutsy job by James.

Hate the call the Yelich got rung up on.  Would have been totally pissed if it was called on an Astro.

Not a great appearance by James, but he was clutch when he needed to be. That’s promising.

Make up for the shit call on Reddick last Thursday.

Hinch needed James to close it and he did

great stadium, I’ll be back tomorrow

With Peacock, McHugh and Pressly out, there just aren’t a ton of proven bullpen options right now. Harris is about the only dependable arm as of today. Smith I can’t assess just yet. So getting that Houdini act out of James was huge. Hope it’s the start of a big run for him, though I’m not counting on it.

Maybe after this latest stunt (the throw on the grounder, not the HR), the team will step up their efforts to get Osuna’s head unwedged. By whatever means it takes. Because that has to happen if he’s going to keep getting closing opportunities in October. I really think it’s more likely we’ll see Pressly then.

Looks blah on tv.

Whatever on the strike call.  We are a juggernaut and the best team in the league and deserve to get more than our fair share of those calls.

No good player ever does that.   That is the bullshit copout way a loser plays.

Looks blah on tv.

Yeah went up a game at Miller Park last year
It was built on the cheap and it shows.
It opened the same year as MMP (Or very close to it) but seemed about twice its age. Just seemed dark and gloomy

But roof was also closed for a night game when I went
Maybe it’s better open/in daylight.
