Going to be in San Angelo April 5-6, been through it a few time but only stopped for gas. Did a search for brew pubs / tap rooms and looks like there might be some decent options. Who's been and whatcha got?

Yeah, I can't get out of this trip but it's only for two days. Was hopeful that I could at least get a decent burger and beer at one of the local places. Forgot to check the Surly small town link, maybe there's hope yet.

Blaine’s Pub is where all the college kids go to drink. It’s similar to The Blue Light in Lubbock, nothing fancy and lots of Texas country on the speakers. Looks like Shotgun Rider will be there April 5th.

Thanks for the input, but unless they have their moms with them I won't have anyone in my age range . Going to take my chances at the SoCo Taphouse or Zero One Ale House, those keep coming up on searches. What could go wrong?

used to go a lot for work but most of the time it was in and out.  peasant village is good for lunch.  cork  & pig has good food and booze. those are the two i remember.

Stayed out there for a while, Western Sky was pretty decent. Steaks are kinda there thing in San Angelo, they aren't really high end, but the meat quality is real good around those parts.

East of town there is a brewpub in the old Eola schoolhouse.

Shooter knows the guy. Won't be a cool, young, hip crowd, but the food and beer are pretty good.

You can always eat at the bar at The Outback.

Thanks for the post, these are the kind of places I was hoping to come across. That Schoolhouse in Eola may be the ticket since it looks like there is a good chance of rain on Saturday and my outdoor plans will be called off.
