55 pitches through 6?  Damn.

whomever you're referring to must be pitching against my fantasy lineup.  lotta zeroes.

Teoscar broke it up on an infield single

Total of 1 hit through 5 in NY....and the team with the 1 hit is trailing 1-0.

Aaaand broken up by a solo shot from the 9 hole hitter... who is hitting behind the pitcher.

They are going with Edwards. Bauer done.

Edit: beaten by Spy. And yeah that was a long damn half inning, thanks to Toronto.

Max Fried through 5 in ATL against the Cubs

This could be the ugliest combined no-no ever, finally through 8 with 8 walks & 2 HBP.

Ends up being like 33 min break for Fried

Well longer now because they are working on the field

Surely Bauer has a thesis written up on why the 100 pitch count marker is arbitrary pseudo-science.

He must have found a quick way to increase his spin rate. Legally of course. Not like those cheating Astros pitchers.

German Marquez is perfect through 7.

Correction: he hit one batter, so it's a no-hitter in progress.

i was at dinner during fiers' no-hitter, but it wasn't on tv there.  because of weirdo fox/dodgers relations, i had to go across the street to find a random bar that had it to watch the last couple innings.  in la.

What does it matter? He’s had two walks as well

Just wondering if he got a friendly hometown scorekeeper ruling is all

Active with 2 no-hitters:

Verlander

Bailey

Scherzer

Arrieta

and now:

Mike fucking Fiers

list all the hof'ers with zero or one and that's a more impressive list i'm sure.

30,000 people will one day say they were at this game when it’s generous to say 3,000 were there for the final pitch.

Official attendance 11,794.

mlbn with the most ridiculous graphics award.

they showed the "most no-hitters since 1980" and it had nolan with 3 and a bunch of guys (including fiers) with 2.

what the graphic didn't show is "most no-hitters using the same list before 1980".  that graphic would've had nolan with 4 and everyone else with zero.  nolan was 33 in 1980.  give me a fucking break.  2 no-hitters is plenty awesome in a career without having that graphic on your tv screen.

No one other than Nolan Ryan had a no-hitter before 1980?
