Xavier, fresh off their heartbreaking NIT loss at the hands of the Shaka Squad, wipes the tears away and returns for more punishment.  They've played almost all of their games on the road, against mostly stout competition.

Here are the 3 Musketeers they're trotting out to the mound:

PROBABLE STARTING PITCHERS
FRIDAY—
Texas So. RHP Bryce Elder (2-1, 1.98) vs. Xavier Sr. RHP Damien Richard (0-1, 9.98)
SATURDAY—Texas Jr. RHP Blair Henley (3-1, 3.74) vs. Xavier So. RHP Griffin Lanoue (2-1, 6.27)
SUNDAY—Texas Fr. RHP Coy Cobb (0-2, 3.70) vs. Xavier Jr. RHP Conor Grammes (1-5, 7.33)

Those are some ugly pitching stats.  Keyboards will be shredded when they register a 1-2-3 inning.

Looks like a good weekend to boost the BA's.  (Hopefully Texas averages)

Surely their illustrious performance against UIW didn’t prompt this optimism ...

I'd just like to see:

1) Texas consistently hitting the ball hard; and

2) Cobb to give us 5 innings minimum. If he can't do that, he can't start weekend games.

Does Pierce have something against Son of Bertel?  Why not let him DH or play 1st against a lousy RHP?

No score after 1. You don't just show up and expect to get on base against the Musketeer ace.

Hi y’all. Just turned in and it appears DDA gave up his seat. I’ll try and harness his powers.

I’m more drunk than TCU game 1. As drunk as Sat. Less drunk than Sunday. I’m not sure what that means, but I’m going to keep drinking.

Hibbeler with lead off single, but he really should have been out on that 0-2 pitch

Yeah, looked like he even thought so.

Kinda embarrassing their coach had to correct them on how to pronounce Xavier.

You dont just stroll into your home park and expect to get more than 3 hits against this kind of pitching.
