Metallica between innings. If only that had been the case when I was at UT.

Great outing for Cobb. The defense didn't help him out.

Mason Bryant now pitching in the great bullpen adventure.

Really need to replace Shaw with a better hitter. Hopefully one of the young guys comes on by the end of the year, because my idea of the Peter/McCann timeshare just went out the window.

Yeah they are

They have played us close all three games but just saw they are 9-17 so, you’re right.

Quit hitting ground balls to Xavier shortstop....

DAMN IT!!

Should have left him in

JFC..our Bullpen is a complete disaster.

We don't have much pitching depth on this team this year. It's gonna be piecing together relief based on match ups and who's hot pretty much all year. Madden getting healthy will help freeing up either him or Cobb for some long relief opportunities.

This has to be so deflating for our starters.

they are in a high leverage situation from the first pitch.  any opponent should be taking all kinds of pitches and trying to work deep counts with our starters.

lol. If Pierce left in a TR Fr who's never gone past 7 innings before and he got hit/gave up walks all the same people on the board would be killing him for that decision. Maybe the answer is there's just not a great option either way because we have poor pitching depth.

Agree.  But scoring only 4 runs so far against the crap Xavier is throwing today is pretty bad.

Not every team can score 25 on Xavier in one game like the Grand Canyon Antelopes.

Hardest hit ball since Ellis lead off with that shot up the middle

I think it frees up whelan, as they seem to like Cobb on Sunday and want madden on Tuesday.

yep.  the hitting is a bigger problem IMO.

True. Though I'd like to see Madden move to Sundays and Cobb to Tuesdays at some point this year, but either way, getting Madden back will free up a quality arm, which we desperately need.

Dammit.

That Shepski kid is a grad transfer from Notre Dame.  He's pretty good.

Yeah being good at drawing walks is nice but it takes 4 an inning to score a run.  This team doesn’t have the slugging or hitting in general to take advantage of enough of the walks.

Doing things the easy way is not allowed in this series.

Just like the tech series, you know exactly what is gonna happen/what we are gonna need to win

xavier will get another run here

We win this 6-5 agIn

We can’t buy an opening pitch strike. Too many behind the count At bats

Yeah, it was a joke
