March 31, 20196 yr Painting a picket fence. Started with 4" brush, moved onto 3" roller going to need a second coat. Pine.
March 31, 20196 yr Harbor freight tools. $25 and throw it away, if you have an air compressor. I guess that is the question you are asking.
March 31, 20196 yr Go with an airless sprayer. Worth every penny. https://www.amazon.com/Wagner-0525027-Power-Painter-Plus/dp/B005CA3POG?ref_=bl_dp_s_web_17240164011
March 31, 20196 yr Just used one of these to spray both kitchens' cabinets in my kid's duplex with good results. https://www.amazon.com/REXBETI-Ultimate-750-Electric-Lightweight-Spraying/dp/B07DLR5FK2/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=32PAT25KHI7TM&keywords=rexbeti+paint+sprayer&qid=1554047420&s=hi&sprefix=rexbe%2Ctools%2C160&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1 You can rent a Graco or Titan airless spayer like pro painters use from most tool rental places.

Don’t know what that shit is called. Mainly I don’t know if it sprays too wide and thus not ideal for such a small strip of wood (like a foot or less wide I think). Of course I assume I’d have to tape off the brick
March 31, 20196 yr Are you talking about painting the eaves? I’d rent a pro spray for something needing that level of control. You’ll need a smaller tip size for a smaller fan of paint. Practice on a piece of cardboard before the house. Edited March 31, 20196 yr by ShaggyBevo RIP
March 31, 20196 yr I’d mask with this type of product where the plastic is already attached to the tape. https://m.lowes.com/pd/3M-24-in-x-90-ft-Adhesive-Premium-Masking-Film/50339640 Edited March 31, 20196 yr by ShaggyBevo RIP
March 31, 20196 yr Yea the eaves. That tape and plastic combo is nice. I’ll also power wash them since they are dirty as fuck thus I don’t want the paint not adhering properly.
April 2, 20196 yr Author I ended up buying an $80 wagner model. There was a picture of a guy on the packaging painting a picket fence which is my project. Advertising reeled me in. Busting it out today. Thanks for ideas. Edited April 2, 20196 yr by Nolacycling
April 2, 20196 yr the early versions of those things vibrated like a mofo. my hand would be numb in 5 minutes.

April 3, 20196 yr I’m hot and cold on the ~$150 Wagner I bought. I always put paint on too thick with it, and the paint “mist” it substantial. You really need to cover everything and spend some time on the prep. It does paint well, except for ceilings. I’ve done 4 bedrooms, media room, and game room with it. I later did the bathrooms by hand, didn’t want to fool with the sprayer. Like I said, hot and cold about it. Edited April 3, 20196 yr by fattyflattie
