I read todays nytimes article about Tara Reade and she can’t be trusted to be telling the truth about her alleged sexual assault. Her life appears to be one failure after another, and everything is someone’s else fault. But even a sad existence doesn’t make you a liar. However falsely getting into law school and later continually lying as a court witness does make you a liar.

when you have a long history of lying, it makes it more difficult to believe a story that only has your word as evidence.

Welp, that "Biden is hiding in his basement!" talking point was fun while it lasted.

I wonder how anyone's life looks when the entire liberal media establishment is running a hard op campaign against them.

But you make a good point about being unable to trust liars, which is what makes this hard. Biden's long-documented history of being a profoundly dishonest person doesn't leave us with certainty.

It was true for months. It's not true anymore (hopefully).

That's not a "talking point".

When Bad Teammate posts about Biden, I know understand how the sunshine pumpers felt about my opinions about Mack Brown.

Except I was right.

Not everyone wants a pure echo chamber. To each his own. :)

And I'm right about Joe Biden, which is part of why people get so mad at me. So actually, VERY similar. Team loyalty blinded people to obvious truth.

He's a multiple-time loser and liar who lucked into the VP slot because a cool black guy needed a conservative white guy to balance him out. Joe Biden fucking sucks.

Not for one nanosecond should we let this man think our votes are just his by default. He's not an acceptable candidate, and he should be pressed to work his ass off for each vote.

He fucking sucks.

It's not a matter of being a "booster" or whatever else you call people who try to introduce you to reality.

This is the "Things not going well for Joe Biden" thread. Turns out, things are going exceptionally well for Biden and his lead over Trump ( in dozens of polls) is historically good. There shouldn't be hardly any posts in here since NC or so.

So, if you want to post in the correct thread, I suggest you go ahead and create the "I Hate Joe Biden More Than Life Itself" thread.

I would venture a guess that there would be a lot more productive conversation in this thread, some of it even being critical of Biden, if every single person here didn't know that the minute they start said conversation, a certain person will come in and vomit paragraphs of bullshit for multiple pages at a time.

There's not much content here because nobody wants to deal with that crap.

What reality?

That Joe is going to be the nominee? Sure, we all know that.
That Joe is better than Donald? Sure, we all know that.

This is kind of like how conservatives treat protest.

*when protest happens* "Stop protesting!"
*when violence happens* "Hey protesting is good why aren't you doing that?"

This is protest. :)

Yes, I'm here. Every time I see the thread bumped, I'm expecting to read how things are going badly for Biden. Instead, 90% of the time it's a couple posters (who I'm guessing are a few cards short of a deck) ranting for days about why they think he sucks.

But seriously, incessantly purity testing and shrinking the size of the tent is a bad electoral move. This is what I'm told by centrists, anyway.

One question, "On what planet do you spend most of your time?"

The election of Joe Biden isn't an end, it's a means to an end.

The ends are mostly things either Joe Biden opposes or, at best, won't fight for.

- He's not going to pack the SC or put in some weird rotation (He'll replace RGB with another center-lib and we'll still have a conservative court)
- He's not going to pursue or sign universal healthcare
- He's not going to pursue serious criminal justice reform or demilitarization of police
- He's not going to pursue or sign the Green New Deal
- He's not going to help alleviate student debt in any meaningful way
- He's not going to reform the costs of higher education in any meaningful way

The consensus here is that the only thing that actually matters is replacing Trump. That's fine, but just because it's a consensus here doesn't mean it's actually the only important thing going.

Go ahead and care only about beating Trump, I welcome you to it. But I do wonder why people for whom Trump is the ONLY concern feel like others need to also ignore everything else.

Do you think I'm wrong? Is my understanding of Joe Biden wrong?

Because honestly the amount of pushback that is centered on me personally instead of my actual critiques of Biden makes it seem like you guys know I'm not wrong but you don't want to have to deal with it.

Care only about beating Trump??? Fuck yea, that's ALL that matters right now.

What the fuck do you think the Primaries are for? Biden basically showed up late in his underwear and smoked every other candidate. Millions of people believed he's the only one that could beat Trump (myself included) and end the madness that we've been enjoying for the last 3+ years. He consistently polled well in a head to head with Trump even when his campaign was stuttering. No other candidate can say that.

You "all or nothing"  Bernie twats fail to grasp that the first, and by far most important,  part of the goal is to win the election. Nothing happens without doing that.

I swear you guys would be dying of thirst in the desert and turn down water because you " really would prefer some Sipp soda".

Since this is a sports forum, I give you another analogy. First step of every football game is the players arriving at the stadium. The skill level or talent of the players doesn't mean diddly if they don't get to the stadium. Right now, Biden is the only guy that can get the Democrats into the White House. That's it, that's all that matters right now.

Once a Democrat is in the White House, you can happily spend your days queefing insults and policy ideas at them.

It's June. The election is in November.

Who were you supporting in the primary?

I'm interested, because a lot of people who love to chastise me for lacking practical views backed candidates who were basically jokes with zero chance of winning while I openly supported someone with a very strong chance and who needed a coordinated effort from basically all other candidates to put away.

If a fan says, "This team sucks" is the team not allowed into the stadium?

Or are you arguing that my posting here will impact the results of the election?

Biden since he announced his run. He was and still is the only candidate that can beat Trump, period.

Anything else is pure icing on the cake.

No, the stupid fan can go into the stadium.

But that stupid fan also needs to realize he's in the wrong thread and should start his own thread called " I Hate Joe Biden More Than Life Itself".

I've been on the "what he's doing is working, don't fuck it up" bandwagon, but whoever decided to get him out and visiting the protest site needs a promotion.  That image contrasted with a dark White House and Trump in his bunker is jarring in a way that even non-political people will notice.

Again, whoever had him visit a church on the same day that Trump pretended to play religion for 30 seconds might be a wizard.

Based on expectations when they announced, Buttigieg had a more successful primary run than Bernie.

You're right, of course. I am a 100% firm believer that third-party voting and not-voting are completely selfish, self-aggrandizing things to do. Not voting would be very selfish of me.

This blew me away. Just such a stupid point. Think over the years of the cops lack of accuracy as evidenced by time and time again how the fire dozens of rounds at a suspect and hit them maybe once. Cops by and large aren't the best of shots. To train them to the level of being able to in the heat of the moment accurately hit someone in the leg to "stop" them from coming at you is unachievable at scale. There is a reason "center mass" is taught as the shooting area. It stops people coming and it is easier to hit.

Why not just have non-lethal weapons used and guns only as a last resort? Tasers, bean bag shot guns etc can work to stop someone much easier than the "shoot 'em in the kneecaps" approach Biden is talking about here.

Just a moron.
