August 2Aug 2 Entertaining episode, but 100% pre planned made for TV. I’m not even sure the cut on the guy’s head was real.
August 2Aug 2 An ammonia leak is fake? Well ok. What are Jake’s options in fixing his ship at sea? I think pretty good if Keith gets everybody out of the water safely. Let the ammonia air out, and they’ve fixed the other issue at sea before. I
August 2Aug 2 Well, we know the boat doesn't sink or we'd already have heard about it. So, pretty high chances they fix it next week.
August 4Aug 4 I don't think there's anything to fix once the ammonia dissipates. They only use the freezers during salmon tendering season, so they don't need them for crab.
August 4Aug 4 That's because they had all their generators shut off because of the risk of fire/explosion so the pumps weren't running. I think The Wizard is going to come get them from the raft, they'll stay there until the ammonia is gone and then things will be fine once its safe to get back on the boat.
August 4Aug 4 You would think they would after all of the times people have been gagging and coughing their asses off from smoke and fumes over the years on the show.
August 6Aug 6 Just caught the first hour (is it really 3 hours long???). Pretty compelling. Love the show and looking forward to the season.
August 9Aug 9 That was a good episode. Keith definitely gets some bonus points. How many boats has Harley been on the last handful of seasons?

Yeah if even half accurate, Jake nor any member of his crew, can ever refuse a favor request from Keith. They owe him.
August 9Aug 9 The way Jake reacted once first on Keith’s boat wasn’t fake. There’s a couple guys here that will scream otherwise, but that’s their thing.
August 9Aug 9 It was certainly drama queen. Never mind they couldn't do something really simple that they ostensibly do dozens of times a day - tie a knot. Or notice that they had been tied on and pulled into the Wizard. Taking the show at face value, it's always a surprise that people keep giving Jake a boat and guys keep putting their lives in his hands.
August 12Aug 12 You look up "unhealthy" in the dictionary (I know, I know), and there's a picture of Jake.

August 12Aug 12 On another note: They spent the entire 1st episode hyping up how dangerous this area of the Bering Sea is, and it's been almost entirely smooth water since.
August 18Aug 18 Above post aged well. Good episode, minus too much Jake FaceTime. Neal is a badass, deserves more airtime. Next week looks fun with the NW injury.
August 18Aug 18 It seems like the entire show is on good fishing. Even Bob is hitting homers. Awesome to see. Was there a law that forbade fishing the western grounds for king crab? Per Sig’s narration, they weren’t fished for a generation. Jake is playing with fire. You can’t be in 2 places at once buddy. If I were on FaceTime for a few hours with my wife every day at work, I’d expect to lose my job. Calling her between strings is 1 thing, but if S21 E3 is any indication, he’s constantly on the phone with her.

August 23Aug 23 Some thoughts: - It’s hard to watch Harley with his balls cut off. Yes he’s an asshole, but it’s just sad he doesn’t have his own boat. - Whose niece is Mia (?) on the Wizard. Completely out place and zero back story. They spent HOURS on Jacob’s bullshit in the Seasons 19 and 20, but they can’t give us 30 seconds on where the greenhorns are from. - The Wizard’s coon ass engineer is cracking me up. He’s the guy stirring the gumbo with a paddle at the LSU tailgates. - Jonathan spoon feeding Sig has been a change. - Mandy. Not sure if I want I want to touch this one. She has her captain’s license, but the only thing she’s driving is a Tahoe to the pickup line.

Not hard at all for me. Dude is a premier league cocksucker, so watching him suffer on a boat with an inept captain and a shit crew scratches an itch for me. And how fucking terrible is that captain? Handles the situation in the wheelhouse terribly and then when he goes outside just says "I guess I'm supposed to cheer you up"....what the everloving fuck? I am definitely interested in seeing how it goes when they dock - if Harley is stuck on his own w/ no crew, that could be good tv. That has to be the best surprise character to pop up on this show in years. My head snapped around so fast when I heard that and it took me a second to adjust reality and put ol' Boudreaux in the Bering Sea.
August 31Aug 31 S21 E5 was pretty mid. I assume the Time Bandit was at Nick’s Memorial, but Discovery didn’t want to pay Jonathan’s appearance fee. The Mouse - Keith fight was so stupid, I think it was unscripted. That’s just how brothers are.
August 31Aug 31 Did Mike Rowe get fired mid-season? Zero narration in this one, & new voice in the brief preview for next week.
September 4Sep 4 I couldn’t understand what Sig was doing with the counterweights. Why not just go around and pull the pots away from the ledge?
September 6Sep 6 This has to be the last year. It's all forced storylines by the production team. I will watch as long as the jeep making them but the show is a shell of its former self.

September 20Sep 20 Only to the first commercial break, two things… My man Mike Rowe is back. Jake will keel over before Keith.
September 20Sep 20 Haven’t seen this week’s yet. I was impressed last week with Jake’s decision to use external lines to lure crab off a ledge. Pretty smart. He’s turning into a good crabber, even tho he looks 60 at this point.
September 22Sep 22 Jake is just a fucking mess. Screaming at the film crew? Because he's stressed? Get over yourself. He won't see 50 at this rate. Edited September 22Sep 22 by Nole-4-Life
October 15Oct 15 Finally watched Friday’s, pretty good. The constant lying between captains is annoying, but whatever. Don’t hurt Mia while you’re flying into the fridge, Keith.

November 2Nov 2 Was Mandy pregnant during bairdi season? It’s weird that she’s just completely unavailable to help out. Spoiler Get well soon Sig. Edited November 2Nov 2 by billfromlaketravis

November 3Nov 3 I think Mandy's captain dreams went away when she started having kids. Also Clark seems really level headed and looks to be the heir apparent now anyway. I'm sure they're fine with the arrangement since it stays in the family. I get the feeling Sig views him as the son he never had. Edited November 3Nov 3 by kevwun

The father - son thing with Sig has been nice to watch.
