January 8, 20214 yr Yeah, they did an RIP at the end of an episode. On 8/5/2020 at 12:40 AM, ss13 said: Goddamn, dude that blew out his fucking Achilles like two episodes ago just died of a heart attack. That’s fucked up. https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2020-08-02/mahlon-reyes-dead-deadliest-catch/
January 25, 20214 yr Disasters at Sea, replays at 10 this morning, 8 & 11 Tuesday night on Smithsonian is about the Destination sinking. Worth a watch.
March 17, 20214 yr Oh shit are we going to get a Jake Harrison siting this season? They just teased he’s out of jail and might show up. Edited March 17, 20214 yr by Hook1997
March 17, 20214 yr Don’t see him in this 3-minute trailer from last week. And of course it premieres a month early on +. Quote Deadliest Catch returns for its landmark 17th season this month — if you subscribe to discovery+ — and TV Insider has all the exclusive details. The first new episode debuts on the streaming service first, with the Season 17 premiere available on Friday, March 19. It will then premiere on Discovery on Tuesday, April 20, at 8/7c. https://www.tvinsider.com/990482/deadliest-catch-season-17-premiere-discovery-plus-sneak-peek/
March 17, 20214 yr I started watching a episode on tv from last year toward the end that I never saw and thought it was new for a bit... That’s where I saw them talking about Jake.
March 17, 20214 yr Can’t believe I haven’t seen any advertisements for it starting on + this week, they usually beat us over the head with it.
April 13, 20214 yr 3-hour episode Tuesday night from 7-10. DTV guide info says it’s about Johnathan & the TB, but I bet the first two hours are recaps from last season or something. Season premiere is technically next week, the 20th.
April 14, 20214 yr Well, I was mostly right. First hour is about the TB, worth a watch. Next two are captain interviews/flashbacks of ‘Rona & the Russians, I ain’t bothering with those.
April 14, 20214 yr First hour was pretty good. I thought the TB had been completely repainted before it went on the market?

April 14, 20214 yr 3 hours ago, Lat22 said: First hour was pretty good. I thought the TB had been completely repainted before it went on the market? Someone posted a link to a boat sale site some time back that had a red boat exactly like the TB, and thought it was the TB repainted red. It wasn't though because when I perused through the site I found the actual TB listed on there in its traditional black coat.

You mean that Freddie not knowing if he can make it, and not calling Jonathan to confirm that he can nor answering his calls, and showing up on the dock just as they're throwing lines was staged?
April 14, 20214 yr You mean that Freddie not knowing if he can make it, and not calling Jonathan to confirm that he can nor answering his calls, and showing up on the dock just as they're throwing lines was staged?I was more concerned with trying to remember if he and Keith had a falling out. Did he leave the wizard because of that bs with Monte?
April 19, 20214 yr Another 3-hour block tomorrow night for the premiere, but the last segment is likely that Harris Bloodline shit again.
April 19, 20214 yr Author I've FF thru most of this touchy/feely rehash crap. When are we going fishing?
April 19, 20214 yr I watched most of the 2 hour thing from last week. It was ok....reminded me of some shit I had already forgotten about like the Russian Greenhorn on Captain dildos boat. Was pretty sad them talking about Mahlon's death, specifically Nick, knowing that Nick ends up dead 6 months later Edited April 19, 20214 yr by Scraps
April 19, 20214 yr They talked a little about Nick's death too. Edit: Or did they not? I was pretty boozed up while attempting to pay attention. Know they did the RIP screen after the TB episode, that may have been it. Edited April 19, 20214 yr by shadow_operative2.0
April 20, 20214 yr Yeah I don't think they really did much on Nick's for that. Saw the opening RIP screen and that was about it.
April 21, 20214 yr Sig gon’ Sig. Edited April 21, 20214 yr by shadow_operative2.0 Ha, then the commercial break gets me.
April 21, 20214 yr When nick got sick my first thought was he was in quarantine for two weeks and using then had to stop and was dope sick. Totally forgot about the covid angle.
April 21, 20214 yr How does Josh leaving his own boat to help Johnathan and leaving Casey alone to captain the boat make sense? Unless they got another captain on the CM to split time that they aren’t showing us. edit for calling him Jake 🤦🏻♂️ Edited April 21, 20214 yr by Hook1997
April 21, 20214 yr 7 minutes ago, shadow_operative2.0 said: *Josh He clearly doesn’t own much, TV will pay him more to switch. Josh is the majority owner according to online. They have to have another relief captain on the CM and moved Josh for TV when Andy couldn’t come.
April 21, 20214 yr 10 hours ago, shadow_operative2.0 said: That was a damn fun first episode. It was. I was even able to suspend belief for the whole "night vision" escapade. Pretty sure Casey has a proximity radar in his wheel house.
April 21, 20214 yr Is Mandy still with Clark? Normally they beat us over the head with it, not so much yet.
April 21, 20214 yr After watching every episode for years, I started to get TDC burnout and tapped out a few years ago, especially when it became more and more about addiction and assholes and addicted assholes. Happened to tune in last night and ended up watching a couple of hours of the repeat until I had to hit the hay. Where I came in I was almost ready to click it off, with the hokey staged dramatic scene where all the guys are standing behind fire barrels and making a pact, some right out of network TV survivor show bullshit. But once I got past that it was pretty cool. I'll be checking in again.
April 21, 20214 yr Author It's 85% scripted reality drama footage, 10% work footage and 5% Oh Shit footage.
April 22, 20214 yr This show has gone from 70% scripted to 95% in the last 5 or so years. Last night was damn near 100%. So, so, so fake.
April 22, 20214 yr Lmao when i saw these fools pulling blanks and then they went to Sig i immediately said "he is gonna pull 40"....not quite that much on the first one but then the 2nd pot I hit a bingo
April 28, 20214 yr 1 hour ago, billfromlaketravis said: Keith needs to be constantly ridiculed for eternity for hitting the camera boat. Keith physically looks like he’s already dead. Guy looks awful, which is saying something.
April 28, 20214 yr Yeah, that was entirely too much Keith for one hour. Good on Mandy though, & Clark is apparently still a thing.
April 28, 20214 yr Yeah I like seeing the young guns having some trust in each other. Those old captains are always thinking the other guy is playing them.
