December 26, 2024Dec 26 So…I just saw this magnificent beast online. The Vaquero, from Vic’s in Albuquerque.CFS. Topped with chili gravy and cheese. Served on top of beans, potatoes, and two over easy eggs…served on top of a piece of fry bread. You would die, but die happy. There was a place in Austin that had a Mexican CFS in the early 90s. Maybe I’ll remember where later.

June 23Jun 23 We ate at Moonshine in downtown Austin last night, so I had the CF Steak. It comes with a chipotle gravy, and the whole thing was pretty damn good. Also, huge. I got the fries, they sucked, so here's a stock photo with mashers: Edited June 25Jun 25 by jimmyjazz

We stay near there for games in the fall and wind up going to Moonshine 2-3 times a year because of it. I think their CFS is one of the best you can find anywhere.
