They cancelled the Capitol 10K today.  First time in 42 years.  Not because of rain, but the lightening.

Why would they cancel because it wasn't dark?

Not like Waco is that far away.  Finish the game if possible.

I hate cancelling games for rain and agree with Greenspoint on playing ball in rain. This league cancels games at the hint of bad weather and it drives us crazy. But yesterday’s strike came out of nowhere, and felt like a bomb went off in the stadium. I’m not being dramatic and really probably felt like you did before having just going through it.

Where were you playing?  Got some good rain yesterday, but I don't recall even lightning.  Compared to what was being predicted.

I’m just messing with you.  Lighting scares the shit out of me.

Yeah, I have been camping with some close lighting strikes, it's scary shit.  I didn't doubt you was just wondering where.

Figured this game would follow midweek rules for cancellation with it being up the road.

Yep radar looks wide open in about 30 mins. Complete game W, and taking the series would help a ton.

More meteorological hot takes with Llano at 10:12, following the breaking news.

That system hasn't moved except in a circle since the last time I looked.

So does Texas get a win leading 6 -0, or what happens?

If it ends now....it never happened

Maybe Waco will wash away for good

What will all the basic bitches do when there’s no more instagram selfies to be had at Magnolia? Poor basic bitches.

Conflicted.

He says the Brazos still runs muddy like she's run all along. There's never been no cane to grind and the cotton's all but gone.

After it happened I ran to my son and looked around me. We were sitting in metal bleachers and the stadium, the adjacent stadium and the dugouts all had aluminum roofs. I felt like we were sitting ducks.

Shit, does no one running that facility have the Weather Bug app?  Any lightning within 10 miles shuts everything down. Unless it was a rogue strike (I have no idea if such a thing exists, but liked the term).

Bed time?  This early Baylor?  I'm not even (takes sip of drink from baseball player).......tie...red."

My late game standard is Texas -Michigan game in CWS in late 70s or early 80s?

If this restarts Cobb is probably done. I'm guessing they go to somebody like Bocchi to see if they can get a few innings.

Judging by how the weather looks they might have to wait until midnight.

Just on general principles?

Actually, more or less.... yeah

Baylor started this game late because they are a bunch of bible thumpers who wanted to give their fans enough time to go to church, get dressed, and drive to Baylor Ballpark to watch them lose to Texas.

Field looks great. I don't know what the problem is.

Rain. Apparently its impossible to play in it and it ruins the integrity of the game

Looks like all 10 of 'em showed up.

The real question is why they didn't start this at 11 or 12 when rain was in the area?

It was raining at 11 and 12 too.   It’s stopped in the area today for about 25 minutes

We’re going to get screwed.

Yep4

This can't be the first time Baylor athletes still got out of their balls and sticks on a dry field with zero interest or consent from any ladies in attendance.

Meeting again in another hour to decide per Craig
