Clippers are playing their hearts out, but they're not getting enough from Gallinari or Lou Williams. Klay is having one of those games where he's unconscious from anywhere on the court.

A matchup of two cities where weed is legal and the teams are named the Blazers and the Nuggets?  Count me in.

Is shooting 35% in the playoffs bad?

Yes, yes it is.

Thunder may be going fishing as soon as Tuesday.  Big win for the Blazers.

Starting backcourt for the Thunder was 6-28 from the field.  Ouch.

Road teams went 10-1 this weekend.

8-0 on Saturday and Sunday. Only one first round series left in doubt and heading back to Denver.

Russ upgraded his "next question" response to "um, not sure" with Barry Tramel. So fucking mature. The bad man asking you a tough question in your $40M job.

Honestly, this is my biggest gripe with Russ.  It's so fucking important to him to be seen as this super competitive asshole with the biggest chip on his shoulder in the league.  If that's who he actually was through and through, cool, go for it.  But it's mostly an act, and I'd wager a guess that this is probably closer to the real Russ (sorry for Kevin Hart):

That dude would be a lot easier to appreciate for his amazing basketball talents.  But god forbid he actually let anyone in.  Instead, he has to try to pick a fight with every fan, player, and super tough OKC media member to keep up his "bad ass" all serious persona. Win a playoff series, or he'll only have Royce Young left to blow him by waxing poetic about how it will take time for the masses to appreciate the greatness of three straight triple-doubles seasons (article released when they were down 0-2).

I wonder if Thunder fans are missing KD yet? They haven't won shit since he left and flop out in the first round year after year.

Only one series left worth a damn and that is Denver/SA. Every other series might be done in 5. Boston/Indiana already done. Sixers/Nets is intriguing but Nets folded at the end of game 4 when they could have tied that up. Westbrook picked the worst time to have a fucking putrid game. They don't have enough in OKC to make up for a shitty performance from him.

Next round should be fun, though. Especially GSW/Houston. Hate that it's the 2nd round because the WCF will be a let down compared to that series.

This guy was fucking CRUCIFIED for trying this shit. But somehow it's OK when Westbrook does it for 3 whole seasons.

It's not a game or two at this point.  It's just who he is in the postseason: stubborn and un-adaptable, littered with poor decision making.  He's played 97 playoff games in his career.  Over a full season of basketball.  He averages 25.4 points on 41.1/30.0/84.1% shooting, 6.9 rebounds, and a 7.9/4.0 assists to turnovers.

James Harden, who you point out so eloquently, a notorious playoff choker (no argument here), especially since he's been the leader of a franchise, has put up these numbers in Houston: 65 playoff games, 27.6 ppg, 40.9/31.6/88.2% shooting, 5.6 rebounds, 7.2/4.5 assists to turnovers.

They're practically the same damn guy in the playoffs: one or two great games, surrounded by a lot of massive letdowns.

Westbrook is such an unbridled ass.

Remember when there used to be Thunder fans on the board? I member.

Speaking of shit shooting, Joe Harris, who shot 47% from 3 on the season and won the 3-point shootout, hasn't hit a 3 since game 1. He makes ONE of his six attempts last game, and the series is probably tied 2-2.

Obviously no surprise why there are so many Harden/Rockets fan on a Texas board.

But it's amazing how many of them take opposing viewpoints on these 2 players.  Like Hardenites bringing up WB turnovers as if Harden didn't lead the league in TOs 4 of the last 5 years

He really struggled down the stretch of the reg season too.  I'm not gonna look but I'm gonna guess beyond regression to his natural mean, that he was either banged up or maybe got heavy legs from the most minutes in his career (didn't look that up).

The difference being Harden's offense is good enough to regularly get them a high seed and a better chance at making a dent in the playoffs, even if he doesn't play consistently stellar. Westbrook isn't nearly as impactful in the regular season. One of these years, the ball has a great chance of bouncing Harden's way if he keeps putting them in a favorable position, like Peyton Manning. It's never going to happen for Russ.

Also, Harden added one hell of a floater to his offensive repertoire this season to combat what is the preferred playoff defense against him: don't switch, chase him over picks into the paint, keep your big back, and force him to make shots from 10-12 feet. He adapted. When have you ever been able to say that about Russ?

Please end this shitty 1st round.

I had no idea Detroit has a 14 game losing streak in the playoffs either. Lol

seems Luke might have sexually assaulted someone before becoming the Lakers coach

Quote

A new lawsuit alleges that new Sacramento Kings coach Luke Walton sexually assaulted a woman sometime before being named coach of the Los Angeles Lakers in April 2016.

The civil lawsuit, first reported by TMZ and confirmed by ESPN, alleges that Kelli Tennant, a former host on Spectrum SportsNet LA -- the Lakers' regional sports network -- received an unwanted physical advance by Walton at a Santa Monica, California, hotel room.

The suit alleges that Tennant, who had a working relationship with Walton stemming from his time as a guest analyst on Spectrum, met with him at the Casa Del Mar Hotel to drop off a copy of her book, for which he provided the foreword, when he was in town on a road trip as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors.

According to the legal documents obtained by ESPN, Walton allegedly invited Tennant to his room so they wouldn't be seen together by any Warriors players. He then allegedly pinned Tennant to the hotel bed and forcibly kissed and groped her.

The suit also alleges that in May 2017, sometime after the hotel incident occurred, Walton "forced an aggressive hug" and made a lewd remark about Tennant's outfit at a charity event the two attended.

The Lakers said they were never told of the allegations when Walton was their coach and had no additional comment because he now works for another team.

That's impressive. Even the shitty wolves can win a game every 18 yrs

I don't know what Orlando's game plan was for today, but losing 19-3 midway through the first quarter probably wasn't it.

What about down 14-0? /nets

Brooklyn: "Hold my beer."

Please, for the love of all that is holy, redo the NBA playoff system to have the top 16 teams. The East is a late term abortion.

Can we please get the playoffs off the regional networks? Sean Elliot is such a fucking beating.
