Just a helpful note on how to do this on the new forum.

Youtube videos:  Click the share button on the video you want to post.  Copy the link that appears automatically.  Post this link directly into the body of your post.  No need to mess with the "s" in the url.

Photos:  Looks like there are multiple ways.  BBCode link can be posted into body of post and the image will appear.  You can also grab the URL of a picture, click the "Insert other media" button at the bottom right of your post/reply and click on "insert image from URL".  Paste said URL and you are good to go.

Can you upload off your phone? An option added for that would be nice.

I haven't tried to mess with it yet.  I guess when tapa gets going, there is always that.  But I always used Imgur for my non photo stuff and flickr for my "serious" photos.

There’s also an “insert existing attachment” but doesn’t show anything in there. Guessing this will be useful for Phlegm when posting the same shit over and over.

Looks like you can just copy the direct link to the tweet, no ubb code needed

Yeah if it doesn't embed within a few seconds, don't bother submitting the post. Generally it is a good idea to strip a lot of the god awful query parameters you sometimes get (usually in tweet URLs) if you know how and can.

New site software seems to be easier to use for embedded media and some other things.  With customization this could be an upgrade.

On imgur, right click, open in new tab/window, copy url, click on insert other media, choose image, then paste url, remove v from gifv, bingo.

AKA, too many clicks.

just testing something
