December 13, 20232 yr Sensational athlete. Tenacious defender. A great Longhorn. And now, apparently, retired. Fuck, as if I needed another reason to feel old on my birfday. 🤣

Doj + J’Covan was an unbelievable back court combo who played perfectly to each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Doj’s passing, defense, and crazy athleticism will always stay with me, but what i can’t get out of my head is Doj absolutely draining the most perfect three pointer you’ve ever seen to beat the buzzer vs Minnesota in the tourney. guy didn’t hit a jump shot his entire career and then suddenly he looks like his boy AJ as he beats the buzzer. love that guy. lifetime Longhorn for real. 🤘🏼

December 16, 20232 yr As a guard, Doj was such a terrible free throw shooter that I just couldn't like him. His defense was just fantastic though. Could use him on this team.
December 18, 20232 yr Half a foot taller and a normal-width spine and he would've been a Hall of Famer. The athleticism, vision and skill set were there. And the way he worked in the gym, the 3-ball was coming.
December 18, 20232 yr there was an espn player poll from around 2009 that asked 200-something nba players, “who is the fastest player with the ball in the nba?” TJ won in a landslide, getting 25% of the vote. Barbosa was next with like 11% of the vote, then Iverson with 9%, and a whole bunch of other people like speedy clayton with small percentages. and watching that video you can see it. it’s not even about TJ in a full court sprint, it’s his ability to start-stop-start faster than anyone i’ve ever seen. his first step is so fast, and his ability to hesitate and pull up allows him to create his own wide open shots over and over and over. he’s not flashy like white chocolate or AI, he’s just an insane fast twitch athlete and basketball player.
January 19, 20241 yr Cool that Dylan was there to support him. Miss Timmy. Dude was all heart. Hope he got an "and 1" for that, too.

May 9, 20241 yr Papi living his best life back home in greece helping lead Panathinaikos to the Euroleague final: he would have been a special player at Texas had he not gotten an offer from greece that he couldn’t refuse.

That's when our coaches saw Larry.

June 28, 20241 yr Hard to believe PJ is coming up on his 13th year in the NBA at age 39. Used to run into him downtown and at afterparties back in the day.
July 6, 20241 yr Does the thread care to power rank active Longhorn hoopers? Top 3 off the top of my head: KD, Jarrett Allen, and Myles Turner. They need some reinforcements in the league ASAP.

July 16, 20241 yr Dunno if Timmy ultimately has the athleticism to make it in the NBA, but I do know nobody is going to outwork him. Love that guy.
