October 15, 20214 yr I love how Lazlo couldn’t charm his way of not proving his email and phone number to the Best Buy employee.
October 15, 20214 yr i am always late to the party for most shows but i just finished S1 of this...and i don't think i've literally laughed out loud this much at a tv show in years [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] has it won all the Emmys? bc it should win all the Emmys. every episode has been hysterical. i mean seriously the vampire council meeting with Wesley on sketchy wifi Skype? ahahahaaahaa [emoji1787] i'm really beginning to think this Taika Waititi fella is kinda good at this. [emoji848][emoji1]Yeah he’s great but Jermaine Clement is no slouch either.
October 15, 20214 yr Vampire Depression! They have so much material and the characters are so great. I try to make everyone I know watch it. People are fucking missing out.
October 15, 20214 yr Colin Robinson + belly dancing = holy fucking shit!Once you’ve seen it a few times it loses its magic
October 16, 20214 yr Aint read thread yet.. just finished season 2 when Guillermo Buillermo just slayed the entire theatre of vampires.. lol.. fukin Mexican Blade The entire episode slayed me
October 16, 20214 yr Colin Robinson putting his scent on everything in Nandor's room by rubbing his ass on every surface. Edited October 16, 20214 yr by Deej
October 17, 20214 yr Every time I think I have a favorite vampire out of the four, another one does something hilarious. They are all so pitch perfect.
October 17, 20214 yr “You need to chillax!”LOFLEldest son came home this weekend and had never seen the show. Replayed s1e1. So good on rewatch.

October 18, 20214 yr The whole show…even the small bit they add into the credits. Just stellar stuff. Like I said I always watch live and then rewatch. So much clever shit and inside jokes in these episodes. And…Fuck Jeremy! Lol.
October 18, 20214 yr My obsession with this show has now led me to following their Twitter and all of the actors’ Twitters lulz.

October 18, 20214 yr "I'm not a human? Then how do you explain this... It's been one week since you looked at me...five days since you laughed at me. I know the whole fucking song" Holy shit that delivery was hilarious
October 18, 20214 yr I thought it was the weakest episode of the season - by far. Still laughed a few times, though.

October 19, 20214 yr Pretty uncanny unintentional impersonation...maybe. Can't get this to embed. Right clicking the link seems to work. Edited October 19, 20214 yr by bolverk
October 19, 20214 yr Had that new Rose Byrne "Physical" series vibe. I was thinking this is what they were going for.
October 19, 20214 yr The entire concept of jazzercise to help make you not a vampire was awesome. This is rivaling Always Sunny for me. A long way to go, but it has the same energy and it could go a long time.
October 19, 20214 yr I forget what it was the cult leader vampire ate - an apple or something? But the comedic timing/framing/what have you of drinking delicious water, going off to help with the epson printer (and vomit into a trash can), come back and take a bite out of the crisp apple, then the pained look and next scene - perfect. Also I’m just starting to think about it but Nandor’s accession day celebrating when he rose to power as the leader of Al Quonadar and had the whole harem and everything but he’s too depressed because he’s basically a virgin. The whole joke of his character - Nandor the Relentless who became an immortal vampire and is now a dopey man in Staten Island - such a great show. I wasn’t sure if Guillermo was just selling it when he said that everyone got into it but of course Nadja loves it.

October 19, 20214 yr The movie is good but it feels a little long even though it’s only 90 minutes. I think the premise is much better suited to 30 minutes a week though.

Yeah, it was a good movie, but going with the Office-style rockumentary, you can't get into what they are actually like unless you follow them around during the more inane shit (and I'm not talking about the discussions they had in the kitchen in the movie, etc.). Seeing Collin's workplace(s), seeing Lazlo getting triggered by somebody telling him to go back to his own country, seeing the Vampiric Council bureaucracy in action, etc.
October 20, 20214 yr Just stumbled onto this show last Tuesday. I had never heard of it. A week later, and I am all caught up. This is the funniest show I’ve watched in years. I haven’t laughed this much in a long time.

October 20, 20214 yr Did anybody else realize the guy who played Karl, the loser stoner 4th wheel friend from workaholics, has directed many episodes. So great
October 21, 20214 yr I hope we get an episode where one of them goes down the Q tard hole. Colin Robinson seems like a good candidate.

Especially watching Colin explain to his roommates about it. His explanation of the Big Bang in the Atlantic City episode was hilarious especially bc of how Nandor reacted.

I'd have to go back and see but I think I said that pretty early on. I started with the show and went back and found the movie about halfway through Season 1, or maybe at the end. They're both great but I think the TV cast is better (sorry Jemaine, sorry Taika). And I agree maybe it's better suited to 30-minute episodes than 90-minute movie. I wonder if the TV show being set in NYC/Staten Island rather than Auckland makes it more relatable for us in America? At any rate, they're both great on their own.
