I think I watched the whole first season over a weekend and then got to where I was caught up to "live." It's the funniest show on TV. Let us know when you get to the "Jackie Daytona" episode.

Some of my favorite bits: "I'm just a regular human bartender." The fucking toothpick and old timey blue jeans "disguise." Jackie beating the shit out of the "bikers." "Go Bucks" SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE Jackie getting all pumped up at the volleyball game. Everything Mark Hamill does.

And my favorite part is the look that dolls gives them when he puts the toothpick in/pulls it out.
September 24, 20205 yr IIRC, Mark Hamil had mentioned that he liked the show on Instagram or something. Director called to ask him if he'd like a role. He showed up thinking it'd be some 5 second cameo, but it was a true character role. /I may have read this on this thread, but I'm not going back 6 pages.

February 4, 20214 yr First two seasons premiered in March and April respectively. And they released some major spoilers back in October. Spoiler Even without looking at Guillermo's family, season 3 will have a lot to offer once it arrives. As confirmed by EP Paul Simms during the show's NYCC panel in October, the new season will feature several more mythical creatures like Gargoyles and Hellhounds. Additionally, some prominent recurring characters from the earlier iterations will reappear. The upcoming show will also touch upon Nandor's love life and sexuality, in addition to showcasing a whacky road trip that the vampires will undertake on their day out. Colin Robinson will celebrate his birthday, and the repercussions of Guillermo's chaotic vampire massacre will come into play.

February 9, 20214 yr I mean I saw it immediately...the voice definitely gives it away to me. But my wife didn't know until the end.
April 28, 20214 yr The world of What We Do in the Shadows is expanding. The CW and HBO Max have jointly acquired Wellington Paranormal, a spinoff of Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement's 2014 vampire mockumentary (which has also spawned FX's series What We Do in the Shadows). ——————— Wellington Paranormal stars Karen O'Leary and Mike Minogue, who will reprise their roles from the film. They play two hard-working members of the Wellington, New Zealand, constabulary's paranormal unit. Under the leadership of Sgt. Maaka (Maaka Pohatu), the unit investigates the surprisingly regular supernatural occurrences in the capital city. Clement and Waititi created the series and executive produce with Paul Yates. The New Zealand Documentary Board produces the series. —————————- I hadn’t seen anyone post/mention this but the news came out a month ago. Wish it were airing on FX but notwithstanding it should be hilarious.

June 24, 20214 yr Been working my way through this. Early season 2 - Superb Owl... The whole cast is great. The 2nd season has turned it up a notch so far.
June 30, 20214 yr Yeah buddy. Can't believe this wasn't posted. September 2nd! https://www.vulture.com/2021/06/what-we-do-in-the-shadows-season-3-release-date.html Quote Bars are back. Splitting the check at restaurants is back. And, at last, our favorite funny vampire show and Matt Berry vehicle is returning to us. Nature is healed! FX today announced that What We Do in the Shadows will debut its third season on September 2. That’s right before Labor Day, so put in your time-off requests now, especially since there will be not one, but two episodes debuting back-to-back. Along with the premiere date, the press release also contained a bunch of other gems: “This season, the vampires are elevated to a new level of power and will encounter the vampire from which all vampires have descended, a tempting Siren, gargoyles, werewolf kickball, Atlantic City casinos, wellness cults, ex-girlfriends, gyms, and supernatural curiosities galore. Plus, Colin Robinson is turning 100. And Nandor, faced with his own eternal-life crisis, tries to inject his life with more meaning. Will he find love or is he destined to be an immortal bachelor with 37 ex-wives?” Will he?? Will he??? Truly cannot wait to find out.
