You guys definitely are not going to like my suggestion. We travel on 290 frequently and the massive number of private and commercial drives are the primary fear for us. They need to go ahead and substantially reduce the speed limit and traffic light the hell out of it from Austin to past Dripping Springs. Unless they figure out a way to properly build it out with access roads. Would be a huge clusterfuck, but might save some lives.

On the other hand, I guess more traffic lights would present more opportunity for red light runners to kill a bunch of people. I guess that’s why I would also lower the speed limit quite a bit.

Something else about that stretch of road. During certain times of the year the sunset is directly over stretches leading to DS.

I had a thread on Shag of this same ilk.  Seems like we were adding a body, or plural, every few months.  

Nothing's changed.
