ha!  No, Lazy Susan Ranch = one of The Vineyardist labels.  Small production Diamond Mountain;  Mark Herold is the winemaker.  They make 2 cabs, about 500-700 cases.

I was on the Merus list back before he sold.

Didn’t ever keep up with him or his wines. Merus was excellent.

Ordered four bottles from Southold Farm & Cellars to see what's new that I like.  Stay tuned.  All reds.

Nice.  Looks like a good excuse to get out there.  Look forward to living closer to the hill country.

2014 is may favorite.  I still have a few that I keep holding onto.  Might need to crack one soon.  2016 is a close second.

We went there, tried and bought based on this thread. This was our last 2014. It was damn good.

The answer is always France!

Really need to start posting up all my finds. Nearing the 400 bottle mark.. so about to put a hard stop on buying except wine clubs...4 here in TX - Becker - Reds, Messina Hof - Premium, William & Chris - case of reds..about to switch down to 6  since you can customize your shipment now, and a 3 pack of reds from Ab Astris.

Does anyone in the Dallas area go to all the free wine tastings at Pogo's and La Cave.. I have learned so much there and spent a bundle of cash over the past year and half.

Pogo's has a ton of tastings coming up over the holidays..including like 15 different producers of champagne.

About to head over there right now in fact.

Yep. Luckily it was from a fairly recent purchase and the provenance is guaranteed. This will be going back for credit!

Cooked, sure.  But corked?  That's a pretty good guarantee.

Was a big fan of this one. I don’t know if it’s considered to be a good one, but it was the best wine we had in Nola. I think I’ve figured out I like Italian reds the best. Also had a Nebbiolo and Nero d’Avola that were good. What should I try in the 20-50 range?

Well that's pretty much everything except Barolo.

Milkman, Kelley Fox (and the wines she made for Scott Paul) have been my favorite Oregon Pinot Noir for years, but I’ve never had her Chardonnay. Tell me about it.

Thanksgiving wines.

Sadly the GV is past its peak.

We didn’t have a lot of wine drinkers this year (don’t get me started) so a pretty tame lineup. Amapola is a solid GSM though.

I brought wine to our Thanksgiving #2 this evening and was the only one who ended up partaking. I guess they're too good for Tempranillo. Oh well 750ml for me then

I think my wife had one glass of champagne.  I went ahead and finished the rest, so who am I to judge?

These were all fantastic, but i think the 2014 Behrens Thanksgiving cab was the wine of the night in a very tightly grouped lineup.

This is her first Chardonnay bottling to my knowledge.  It is very young but approachable now.  With a little time this wine will be in a great spot!

Should be a nice week coming up....

Schrader, Aubert, Realm, and Fairchild Stones 2 and 3 all being delivered.

Went to my brother's for a few days for Thanksgiving.  We went through a looot of Nebbiolo.

Need help for New Years. We had Dom two years ago and it was good, but I want something different. I prefer something towards the middle of the road of sweet / dry. Price up to $200. Thoughts??

Maybe a Petillant from the Loire Valley?

Should be well under $100 per bottle. Chenin blanc.
