March 14, 20223 yr Infinity, Evolution, and Departure were an awesome 3-album run. And some classic album cover art too. “My my my my my, my my my, my my whoah-oh.” Damn straight. Sing it, Steve.
March 14, 20223 yr First time I ever heard or saw them was on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. They played 'Wheel in the Sky' and I became a fan. I think Escape was the beginning of the end for Perry's career. On the subject of the Escape tour, I caught the show at the Texas Jam. They headlined it. Perry and Schon were on top of their game. They followed Santana.

Amazing at 17 to see a band that was obviously in disarray & going through the motions was eye opening. Hard to imagine another band that can conjure up all of the senses associated with an early-mid '80s Camaro than Journey. My Camaro album moment was Metallica's Ride the Lightning, late 80s and righteous. Lots of Chevy Nova Journey moments though. Been listening to them at work a lot. Somebody has to make the fries around here. Edited March 15, 20223 yr by Mdhorn

And they will never live down the fact that they allowed this video to see the light of day. It was 1983... MTV was the hot thing, but bands still didn't understand how to harness this new medium & "directors" had no clue what to do.
August 19, 20241 yr I'm very surprised it's been this long without any updates for thread without comments about the internal lawsuits. Don’t Stop Litigatin’: Journey Bandmates Are Battling in Court Yet Again The band's two key members are back in court, fighting over a "deadlock" that has created a "toxic environment" and left the band in a "precarious financial situation." The never-ending legal battle between Journey members Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon erupted again this week, with Cain filing a new lawsuit against Schon over claims that his “exorbitant” spending is threatening to cripple the band’s touring operations. In a complaint made public in Delaware court on Tuesday (July 30), Cain claimed that Schon’s alleged spending — including unilaterally chartering private jets and charging personal expenses to their shared American Express card — has led to a “deadlock” that must be resolved.

August 19, 20241 yr Look up Paula White and you be the judge. Fucker ruined The Babys and Journey and constantly fighting Neil Schon. But he lost Tane Cain and ended up with Paul White so I guess he gets what he deserves.
August 20, 20241 yr Just saw them at Globe Life. Pretty weak show, lacking all sort of chemistry. Not surprising reading about this suit.
