May 14, 20187 yr Good start for Djokovic in Rome. And a poor display of sportsmanship from Nishikori.
May 15, 20187 yr New rules have been announced for the ATP Finals (NextGen) in order to speed up the pace of play. IMO they're total garbage.
May 16, 20187 yr Damn! Apparently her coach flipped off the camera too. I wish we knew what pissed her off. https://twitter.com/returnofserve/status/996737008742621184 Edited May 16, 20187 yr by perfectchaos007
May 16, 20187 yr that was closer to the line than i thought at first glance, but still pretty obviously in. man that is a terrible call especially on clay.
May 16, 20187 yr Yeah the line crew fucked up badly. Line judge wasn' even paying attention, and called "out" on instinct. Pliskova's ball was so far inside the line that they couldn't see a mark, and the umpire didn't have the balls to overrule and didn't even bother to search for a mark. Hawkeye doesn't work on clay courts either so Pliskova had no further recourse. They should allow for TV replays in such a situation. Edited May 16, 20187 yr by satyanash
May 17, 20187 yr DelPo was leading 5-4 in the 2nd set and then retired. I wonder what happened. I hope he's good to go in time for the French.
May 19, 20187 yr Nadal vs. Djokovic and Zverev vs. Cilic tomorrow. Should be a great pair of semifinal matches. Can't see anyone other than Nadal winning the tournament at this point, though.
May 19, 20187 yr This first set between Zverev and Cilic is fucking insane. 6-6, 12-all in the tiebreak with both players having saved multiple set points.
May 19, 20187 yr Zverev takes it! 15-13 and the German collapses in exhaustion. Edited May 19, 20187 yr by satyanash
May 20, 20187 yr This final is insane. Zverev leading 5-0 in the second set after getting breadsticked in the first.
May 20, 20187 yr Fuck. Zverev up a break in the 3rd set with momentum, and there's a rain delay. Perfect timing for Nadal to regroup.
May 20, 20187 yr And just like that, Nadal uses the rain break to regain momentum and win. Ugh. Edited May 20, 20187 yr by satyanash
May 25, 20187 yr Author About damn time. Quote A Czech Republic court has ruled a suspect in a knife attack on two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova be taken into custody. Zuzana Buresova, a spokesperson for the county court in the city of Prostejov, says the court issued the ruling on Thursday. Buresova declined to give any further details. Police have not commented yet, and declined to confirm the man's arrest, citing an ongoing investigation. After the attack in her home in Prostejov in December 2016, Kvitova had surgery on injuries to her playing left hand. It took her more than five months to recover. In a message to local media from Paris, where she is getting ready for the French Open, Kvitova called it "good news."

June 12, 20187 yr Nadal poking the hornet's nest... Rafael Nadal thinks viewership should determine men's and women's tennis earnings Quote Q: “In tennis, should women earn as much as men?” Nadal: “It’s a comparison we shouldn’t even make. Female models earn more than male models and nobody says anything. Why? Because they have a larger following. In tennis too, who gathers a larger audience earns more”.
June 12, 20187 yr cue the angry feminists. But honestly thats always the way I thought it should be handled. Give pay based on attendance and ratings. Honestly, they aren't that far off its not like females will earn half the $$ as the men. Maybe 20% or 30% less tops
June 14, 20187 yr Federer survives his first match on grass this year. He definitely struggled, though. Not good seeing Fed drop so many break point chances.
June 16, 20187 yr Federer is just one win away from the No. 1 ranking against Kyrgios on Saturday. If he doesn't win tomorrow though, he won't have another chance at it until the late hard court season. Heck, Federer would have been No. 1 this entire season since Rotterdam if he hadn't blown three match points against del Potro... He and Nadal are extremely close in the rankings.
June 16, 20187 yr Wow this match turned quickly. Kyrgios wins the first-set tiebreak, only for Roger to dominate the second set. One set left between Federer and the No. 1 ranking.
June 21, 20187 yr In Halle, Federer saves two match points against Benoit Paire to advance in a tight thriller. Federer's not in his best form, but now he (should) have a relatively clear draw the rest of the way. In other news, Djokovic absolutely crushed No. 2 seed Dimitrov in Queens. He's getting better and better by the tournament.
June 24, 20187 yr Federer's collapse aside... 😞 Cilic played a terrific game to steal the Queen's club trophy from Djokovic. Saved a match point in the 2nd set in the process.
June 28, 20187 yr Author Genie won 3 matches to qualify for Wimbly, that’s actually pretty impressive.

July 28, 20187 yr Author Olga Danilovic v. Anastasia Potapova, two 17-year olds, in the Moscow International final tomorrow morning. First time that’s happened since ‘05, Vaidisova v. Golovin, two hotties that flamed out rather quickly. Danilovic has a nice lefty game, already decked out in the good Nike swag.
