I’m looking for a game my wife and I can play at the same time on the couch but also online multiplayer. Are there any games you guys know of where we can split screen and be playing online versus other people at the same time?

I'm pretty sure the following games allow 2 player coop from one console against (or coop with) other players online:

Disc Jam (2 local v 2 online)

Guantlet (up to 4 players mix coop-online)

Magicka 2 (up to 4 players mix coop-online)

Broforce? I think it has split screen with option for online coop

What type of games are you looking for?

There are not a lot of games I can think of that allow you to play split screen co-op, online, against other players. Call of Duty games allow this. You're at a pretty big disadvantage in that type of game, though, playing on a split screen with reduced graphics.

Overcooked is a great couch co-op game.  My wife doesn't really play games but loves it. Don't think it is online though

We’ve played Battlefront 2 and some Fortnite recently. Battlefront would be perfect if we could both play the online combat games versus other people at the same time. She hates playing against me but would be cool with a shooter game playing against strangers online if we were either both playing solo or on a team together.

If I can find something she enjoys I’ll catch less bitching and get to play more games.
