Quite possibly the first trailer I've ever seen where I couldn't make it through the whole thing. Pretty impressive for a clip that's not even 3 minutes long.

That is amazing. Is it too late to short the production company?

So Jim Carrey's returning to his Mask roots?

Serious question, have movies based on a video game ever worked? Maybe Resident Evil?

In terms of whether they were good, Silent Hill, Mortal Kombat, and Angry Birds are all pretty good movies.

In terms of grossing, it's been a hit and miss. Some of beat their budget (see above plus the original Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie), but most have been relative flops.

It'll be interesting to see how Detective Pikachu does as it is actually a decent film and has some recognition due to the actors + Pokemon.

Yeah once the trailer's out it's too late.

I'm proud to say that I have a copy of this one on DVD.

Isn’t this movie 25 years too late?  Do kids even play Sonic?

My 5 year old nephew plays some sort of sonic game on his tablet.

The Emoji movie thinks this looks stupid.

Honestly I'm pretty optimistic. Hope they set it up nicely for a sequel.

You serious clark?

It's an even bet as to whether it would be more entertaining to watch this for 90 minutes:

You might see a better fight scene at some Sonics I’ve been to.

does jumanji count?

No. It wasn't a video game first. It was based on a book.
