it's just amazing to me the reactionary posts you get when it comes to sports. durant and the warriors stacked the deck so much in their favor on july 4th, 2016 that people were saying they'd win

Start talking shit now! This team blows dick!

Kerr was playing KD, Green and Klay last night against Utah. Meaningless game for them, unless they care about Utah's seeding. Is he also a regard?

YES

Yep... just 1st round. You could still sit him 2nd round. Huge

Woj reporting Luc could be back in second round.

Kind of... he just said "likely to miss the first round."  That doesn't necessarily say that's all he will miss.  Although it is certainly better than an "out for the year" announcement.

Another reason the starters are playing and might even play tonight is how many days off they have until the playoffs start. Rockets might not even play until Sunday so 3 full days is plenty for the body to recover. I hope they all sit out tonight but they will probably go a few minutes each.

there is no reason at all for harden, paul or capela to play tonight.  and if gordon, tucker and/or ariza play, their minutes need to be extremely limited.

rooting for the spurs and thunder tonight to assure that the pelicans are the 8 seed.

i'm not terribly concerned about the first round matchup, but to me, new orleans is easily the weakest of the western conference playoff teams.

this is good:

Next to Nene, it should just say "old."

So MIN or SA, take your pick

Yes, but LMA is the world's best player against the Rockets

We’ve owned Minnesota this year. 4-0 with a 15.75 average margin of victory.

Rockets-Wolves
Warriors-Spurs.
Jazz-Thunder (either 3-6 or 4-5)
Blazers-Pelicans (either 3-6 or 4-5)

The West is locked.

I like our starting lineup

No you don't.

That last game was too close for comfort. I think the Rockets win in a gentleman's sweep.

The west isn't locked until the end of the Jazz/Blazers game

Good to see Joe Johnson is still shitty.

He's just not in good enough shape to be on a run and gun team like the Rockets.

Dunno how we beat Houston. a barrage of 3 pt shooters, 2 of the best facilitators, and a guy who makes a living on making 7-10 bunnies a game.

Wiggins has really stepped up his defensive game...maybe put him on Harden, Butler and Teague switch on CP3, put Taj on Clint and let KAT rover and make PJ, Ryno(gulp), Nene etc?

your offense is impossible to defend, just hope for a cold nights.

If BigOrange1 is around, maybe he can weigh in on who should we be rooting for to win the Blazers-Jazz matchup.

i'm of the opinion that blazers/pelicans is an easier 4/5 matchup than jazz/thunder, but i'm not really worried about any of them.

i do think thunder/jazz will be a war though so the winner of that could be coming off a 7 game slugfest.

I would rather have the Jazz-Thunder as 3-6 on the GSW side so I’m rooting for the first time in my life for Utah Jizz.

If you have Blazers as #3, they have the likelihood of giving the Warriors more fits in the second round (of course assuming they make it there).

Yeah, it was a 9 point squeaker.

I was referring to how the Rockets scored 77 points in the first half, led by as many as 24 and then well into the 4th quarter the Wolves cut it to 115-110, Gerald Green went H-Town on Gorgui Deng, and then Harden guided the team to victory.

But it's the playoffs, so I'm hoping D'Antoni will make the necessary adjustments to not let a huge lead disappear.

f it. put wiggins on cp3, jimmy on harden, let ariza on teague beat you with help from kat.

Am I missing something? Portland is about to take the 3 seed

Not trying to look beyond the Timberwolves, but this is what lies ahead.

2 fucking weeks to play 7 games. Geeze that's fucking stupid, and most of those games will end after 11PM.

Well, the Twolves won't be much trouble. Will be interested to see what happens in that OKC/Utah series. Not really scared of either OKC or Utah, but I would prefer Utah as I think it will be an easier series. Plus there's no way Harden stays out all night at strip clubs in Salt Lake City.

that's why "rest" is kind of bullshit...just don't get injured

Don't jinx it brah. It's the playoffs, gotta take every game seriously even if it is the T-Wolves.
