apparently it will have a country vibe.  First release.  Nice sound, nice melody.

I like it too. It's got a Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues feel to it

Definitely, also hear a little "Everybody's Talkin'" in there (to my ears anyway), and just the overall vibe/lyrics remind me a lot of Jimmy Webb, could fit right in with "Gentle on My Mind"...  For sure got that late 60's/early 70's sound to it, which I really dig.

I'm stoked for this. Love the haunting, rambling sound of the first track. Just calls for a west Texas road trip. He recorded the album seven years ago & left it on the shelf while releasing 2 other albums. And he announced in an interview with Scorsese the other week that he'd recently written an album of E Street Band material. The guy's not slowing down.

Second single is out. Bruce will be the first to tell you he doesn't have the best voice, but he sure as hell gets everything he can out of it. Feels like a kindred song to Girls in their Summer Clothes.

Just pre-ordered the vinyl version.

This album is incredible. "Moonlight Motel" is Bruce at his absolute finest. Just a perfect song.

I'm more of an "and the E Street Band" guy but like a lot of his solo stuff as well.  The songs I've heard from this one are great.

Great fucking album. Definitely has a Jimmy Webb vibe.

The Boss and Eddie Vedder get together on a AC/DC tune.  What could go wrong?

This. This is what could go wrong.

I heard that today on SXM.  Well I listened to about 27 seconds of it. Just awful ...I mean he literally fucks up the first word of the song and it kept getting worse

Heard it the same way although I made it all the way to the end. Kept hoping it would get better but it was pretty …. Flat.

I wrote that Eddie Vedder/Springsteen thing with a tear in my heart because I am one of the biggest Springsteen fans on the planet.  I think that Thunder Road is perhaps the greatest lyrical exercise of the last 50 years with the exception, maybe, of "It's a hard rain, gonna fall"  by Bob Dylan.

Sorry, Bruce. This was a huge misstep.

And wise enough to change things just enough not to run afoul of the lawyers. Springstern. Minnesota album (standing in for Nebraska). Close but not quite lyrics to Reason to Believe.
