May 9, 20196 yr Rest in peace, Jim Fowler. Carried the load for Marlin Perkins. Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom was a TV staple back in the day. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jim-fowler-wild-kingdom-host-215853352.html
May 10, 20196 yr Jim did ALL the heavy lifting on Wild Kingdom. Marlin reminded me of those English Lords on safari you'd see in old Tarzan movies. Never left camp, never got dirty, but took all the glory.
May 10, 20196 yr Lol, Marlin gets a bad rap for that but he actually carried his weight too: Great show, RIP Jim...

May 10, 20196 yr Loved that show. 5:30 Sunday evening... then Wonderful World of Disney. Marlin, JIm, and Mutual of Omaha commercials...
May 10, 20196 yr ^Yep. Often saw it sitting in front of my grandmother's console TV. Back before the internets, we'd call the 800 number to talk to somebody in Omaha. They may as well have been on the other side of the world. "Are you really in Omaha?" RIP Edited May 10, 20196 yr by retread

May 10, 20196 yr Loved it too. When I was a kid I didn't even know Mutual of Omaha was a company. Just thought it was the name of the show and they were originally from Omaha.
