May 11, 20196 yr I can't be the only one on here who listens to this great music. Edited May 11, 20196 yr by JoseMedinaDeJesus
May 12, 20196 yr Author This guy is an Austin legend. Before he was murdered he willed his guitar to to Townes Van Zandt. Towns later, in an interview, stated that he and some other friends dug up the body of Blaze Foley to retrieve a pawn ticket. The ticket was in the shirt pocket he was wearing when he was buried so that Townes could get the guitar out of pawn. Van Zandt played the guitar regularly. He has been covered by Willie, Merle Haggard, Townes van Zandt, John Prine, The Avett Brothers, and Lyle Lovette John Prine said that he wished he could have stayed up all night writing "Clay Pigeons". He had a short volatile career that took place mostly in and around Austin in the later 70's and most of the 80's. He was banned from performing in most Austin venues due to constant inebriation. He couch surfed, lived in dumpsters, cars, and occasionally would sleep on the venue floors after a show. I am really surprised that nobody here listens to him. May 12, 20196 yr Author Around, sort of. Moved to Jacksonville Florida, Kind of got tired of the shag and all of its newfags about 4 years ago. Realized it wasn't the newfags. It was me. I was going to meltdown like derka or taz. So, I left the internet for a while Worked on me a lot. Not sure, maybe I was just growing up. I lurk here a bit, off and on. But mostly I keep myself busy these days between work and hobbies. Edited May 12, 20196 yr by JoseMedinaDeJesus

August 27, 20196 yr Saw Ben Dickey open for Hayes right after the movie came out and the dude couldn’t throw in one Blaze song. Damn shame.
October 7, 20196 yr Wasn't really into the movie, I am sad to admit. (And who are you calling a newfag?)
