Weather.com says 40% at 2pm.  They love to fuck with Austin.

Feels like Houston outside today.

Guess if you were north of Lake Charles right now you'd be getting your 40%.

A nice shower in the 619.

The fuck? It’s beautiful today

Was out at the lake. It was really pretty nice. Some cloud cover, but still warm.

Shit’s about to get real.

Well shit. It completely fizzled out for us. I don’t think we even got a quarter inch.

Didn't get a drop in the 042.

No too often you see storms running east to west.

Was thinking the same. Looks like the north part of the Austin area is about to get some heavy showers.

no NO NO don't jinx it

never gonna rain again

No electricity and about to get pwned in 78728

Hang into your butts.

Cow pissing on a rock in the 24. Told my wife to light a candle.

Damnit! This sumbitch is going to skirt barely north of me. Just getting enough thunder to ensure I have two weimaraners curled against my body making the mattress shake like a coin operated motel bed.

Down to a light rain. Power has been out for about 45 mins. Rain gauge at 3.30".

Hail for me in the 23.
Little pellets nothing big and not very long..
Just enough for mew to get nervous and schlep out in the downpour to move the beater vehicle out of the garage and put the good one inside

Woke tonight to the sound of thunder,
How far off, I sat and wondered,
Started humming a song from 1962,
Ain't ir funny how the night moves,
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose...

Holy cow, light show, Batman!
So there's enough humidity along the stalled out front to have the storms move in from the NE; a little different but not unusual for the summer.
MASSIVE rain with this, but I think it's kind of fizzling just before it hits the west side of Travis.  The storms have definitely lessened in intensity.
MIght not get much at all over my house, damn  Bulk has fallen NE and NW of the city, though N Austin got some.

Gimmee a little rain here, anyway.

There's also a good complex tracking east out of the Big Bend due to a disturbance out in West Texas (the high has pulled SW of us temporarily to allow all this).  I think there's a better than good chance that stuff arrives in the area by sunrise.

Rain , rain everywhere, just don't screw me and give me a share...

Forcefield doing some impressive work fizzling out this thing in SW Travis... not a drop and it keeps moving toward Bee Cave/Lakeway but dries up after it hits about Sunset Valley and the MoPac/Brodie area.  Central, NE, and E Austin getting hammered, though.
Not a damn thing so far for me.

Power came back on about 5:30a. Finished this round with 3.33" in the gauge.

That other front out west killed this one. Let's see if it holds together once it starts heating up.

Lake Travis should get a nice little bump from these storms out west. Over 6” out by Spicewood.

Got just enough enormous thunderclaps to wake up both of my kids around 4am but absolutely zero rainfall.

Probably negates a few days of them letting water downstream.

Yep, current reading: 664.8, 1 week forecast 664.8

Whatever rolled through 78753 last night destroyed my tomato plants. Rest in peace, tomatoes.
