Travis went up about 3" overnight.  Not sure how his wife feels about that.

that was nice. had some hail in the 23. some of the loudest thunder i have ever heard.

Thunderstorm in 59 woke me up last night. It was raining outside. I took a piss.

Thank you rain gods.

1.3" at my house in the CP.  The strong winds blew both the pink flamingo float, and the pizza float, out of the pool and into the yard.

Never forget.

Woke up to this:

In Bee Cave, where it always rains on my house, we got... not a goddamn thing.  But the cool air this morning was a teasingly nice thing, I guess.

Best news I could hope for. Out of town and haven’t fixed some leaks in patio doors that get wetter than your mom when they catch a couple inches. Catching up on the thread this morning and was getting pretty worried.

Heard a transformer blow which sent me straight out of a deep sleep into a low crawl for my 12 gauge. Four loud as fuck bangs sounded like mortar fire landing outside.

That storm was weird coming in directly from the east. Do not see that very often.

Got hammered in Georgetown.

Bunch of trees down or snapped in half along 969 between 183 and 130. Crews out cutting them away from power lines and away from the road.

It might seem so, but actually in the summer most of our storms come from E to W.   More of them might come up from the SE (Gulf) but it's not too unusual at this time of year.

These storms followed a front that was sagging SE from NE Texas so they followed that.

Yes but when I first saw this on radar over Houston I was thinking no way that makes it to Austin...I thought it would peter out or at least move to the northwest. That thing went due east the whole way. Just seemed strange.

BIG COOLDOWN COMING!
Well, relatively speaking... the Killer HIgh's moving back to Mexico (un-DACA'd!) and highs will be a refreshing 94°-97°.  Ahhh... fall just around the corner.

No rain to speak of, though.

Uncle Jim just said 2nd half of June looking to be wetter than normal...we know he ain’t talking about pussy.

Fucking loud as hell hail storm for 15 minutes in central Arlington at 2am this morning.  Not the tiny pebbles either.  Quarter sized, up to damn golf ball sized hail.  Sounded like someone was taking a hammer to everything.

OMG!!  OMG!!  Thunder in West Houston!!  Could it be?  Can it be??

Loud thunder, lightning all around me and the storm moves just to the south of me then fizzles out.  Not a drop.

I thought when you posted on this thread you got rain....I think I want my money back.

Brodie HEB with misters on the parking lot. Oh shit, rain? Well HEB is open, so

Sitting on LBJ trying to figure out if it's safe to take the boat out and the storms around me a just stationary, not showing any directional movement at all.

My ass got poured on at the baseball game a few hours ago.

Yep.  I'll take it again today please.

Poured on us in Bull Creek in Lake Austin yesterday around 3:30-4, then some dumbass dove from the bridge and brought out two water-based rescue jet skis and one water-based fire rescue boat (screamed through Bull Creek at 40+ mph easy), plus 3 ambulances and 2 firetrucks parked at the boat ramp, one police boat, and Starflight.  Basically shut down the ramp for 45 minutes while the rain started pouring again while about two dozen boats were all trying to pull off the water.  Total ClusterF but it could have been worse-- at least there were no jackwagon Game Wardens to foul things up.

Wow...rain forecast in Houston jumped from 20 - 30 percent to 60 - 70 percent for next Sunday, Father's day through Wednesday (according to KTRK).

That's because there's something coming this wayde2730576798f0a835e57eb86b7dd8fb.jpg

There is no force field issue in H-Town.  Raining it's ass off in the Galleria.  It's fucking up construction of my new house.  (FU Harvey rebuild)

Latest Euro says everyone in Austin is going to die.

Not bad for Gillespie County. Need it to annihilate Fredericksburg.

Weird, usually we get the CenTex floods on Memorial Day weekend.

We just wanted to wait for the baked clay.  Maximum runoff.

Don't usually post unless it's a widespread rain event.

I think it'll be a widespread rain event.  So I posted.

I think it's gonna rain but not sure if it's gonna be a slobglopper.  But yeah, it's gonna rain, starting later Sat into Paternal Mistake Day.

Back later today, later.

So, it's going to rain heavily in the Bee Caves area, and bone dry everywhere else.  Got it.  My Father's Day lake plans will remain 100% unchanged.

Kxan is reporting that we may get “nocturnal bands” with this system. Is that the official term for meteorologist wet dream?

My Weather App - Austin Rain Prediction

Tuesday : Oh my gawd, it's gonna flood. Save yourself

Wednesday : It's going to be a pretty big rain event

Thursday : Austin will get a good soak

Friday: 50/50 chance of rain this weekend.

Saturday: might get some sprinkles at night

Sunday: Forcefield brah

I got sprinkled on 3 times today, but nothing to use the wipers with.

God, that sounds like a Vic Mackey post-date debriefing.
