raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock across the street from ya...

Very nice though.  Hope some of this moisture makes it way to CenTex and West Texas.

Coffee?

Coffee?

For now.

And it’s pouring now. We’ve picked up close to 3 inches of rain so far this morning.

I really want it to rain...just not on the fourth damnit. I’ve got a ton to grill and was hoping the 2/4yo kidlets could run around burning up the thousand poppers/snappers I have.

Forecast was saying all day rain here in Galveston, I'm sure it wasnt.much different for Houston. That said, the storm has slowed some, which sucks.

Getting destroyed inside the loop. Crazy that this is mostly from the last 4-5 hrs or so

It’s blowing sideways here in southwest Austin. And by “it” I mean hot air.

Live coverage of Houston's annual '500-Year Flood!' that will keep raising the entire state's insurance rates because Houston always insists on overdeveloping while refusing to pay for the massive infrastructure, retrofits, and buyouts necessary for such.  The glorious shining No-Zoning prototype!

Hey I was just looking forward to slightly cooler temperatures. Given it’s noon and already 96, I call bullshit

I10 and washington is a damn ocean

Technically it’s a gulf.

Just dumped 6.75 inches of rain out of my gauge and it’s still coming down steadily.

Now over 8 inches in the heights. Was able to run to Snooze to pick up a to go order, but its still hairy out there.

Surprisingly, there was a 2 hr wait for a table there

I watered the yard last night and the runoff was red. I guess from the dust cloud that has been settled over us. Or from the bodies I buried in the yard.

It isnt the total amount of rain in Houston. This time, there was rain falling at rates of almost 4 inches per hour

Based on HCFWS, in my hood, it looks like things have slowed.

Raining here by Anderson High School

thank the rain gods

Looks like the rain is taking I10.

Cow pissing on a flat rock in NW Hills.  We'll see that that does to the temp of my smoker.  It was running pretty hot, was hard to regulate and still keep the fire lit.  This actually may help -- cool that black metal off a bit.

How many homes flooded today?  And who the hell is calling this a 500 year flood?

It rains in SE Texas. A lot. Always has. Everyone acts like this is something new. Just don’t drive over the streets with standing water.

Was in my neighbors pool when it started to rain here in cedar park. My 4yo was complaining about getting wet...*does not compute*

Angie still angrily running that place?

Fucking neighbor has something leaned up against the fence partically blocking my rain gauge. My wife doesn’t think it’s a big deal, but I’m stewing over this.

KPRC is ridiculous with their coverage right now.

What's the projected timeline for total destruction of city?  I'm sure shots of water up to the top of car tires. Oh the humanity!

I think we'll get some rain.  Shower or two.  That's what I think, anyway.
Tinkling starts in the area about noonish.
Golden showers late afternoon.  Don't build an ark.

The water will be down within the hour.  It sucks that the city's 4th of July celebrations were ruined but its cooler weather in July which is nice

Trivial things that make you surly thread is around here somewhere.

Get ready for the Austin peeps to light up. It's raining in the blah blah blah, same here! Whew, I was going run the sprinkler system! I'm next door to you and it's raining here as well!

Oh, that ain't trivial.  I am pissed just reading that.  Don't fuck with a man's raingage.  Pretty sure that is a law.

Just poured out 3" in south RR.

It's wetter than South Austin's mom outside.

Why is my mom particularly wet outdoors?

Sucks that we're getting a downpour on everyone's day off, but thank you Jeebus for this rain.

I hope some of that makes it up to D/FW. My lawn and water bill are getting destroyed so far this year.

Not a drop in Hewitt (other than grateful drop in temp).  Think I’m gonna go wash my truck while there are clouds building.   It’s sure to rain then
