So what does that mean exactly for saturday?  The only person with more control over my wardrobe choices on weekends than my wife, is phdHorn.

Were you at the Missouri game in 1996?  Dress for that.

(except it's never going to rain in Austin again)

Man.  That was awesome.

I was there.  I don't think I've ever seen a wall of rain come through the stadium like that.  I didn't now how long the delay was going to last and my buzz was wearing off, so I watched the rest of the game when it resumed from Double Dave's.

Going to be wearin' shorts and a polo. My phone is waterproof, credit cards are waterproof, planning on bein a soaking wet drunk mess..

The fun starts at about 1:37.  You could see the shit coming in from the north way before that, including some heavy lightning.  But that wasn't going to stop play in '96.

(As an added bonus we are actually wearing burnt orange in this.)

I know this isn't great news that helps right now.. but if you are near harborside/downtown they are going to fix that shit in the future. Ring Levee is coming.

Dang that Ricky Williams TD at the end was so beautiful. Outruns most to the edge, then just bulls over a dude to get to the endzone.  I miss running like that.  Or even, you know, like D'onta Foreman.

All thunder and no rain in Austin.

I’m in the NW corner of NW hills....we got pounded. Lightning hit right next to the house.

That was the most epic thing to see it cross the field like that.  Section 2 and we just watched it until we were soaked... first from whiskey and then with rain.

Tons of thunder and lighting in Milwood but not much rain. My 50-lb pup always turns into a lap dog when it's booming out. 81deae14b851b7c3cda3ea1ddbae1719.jpg

At 1:04 in, talking about James Brown :  "The number speak for themselves. 13 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. That's how you evaluate a quarterback; how many games does his team win."   It was true then, it 's true today.

Yes.  Yes, I was.

And I'm hoping for the same this Saturday night.  I'll gladly buy a $75 poncho.

Because that was awesome.

Yeah, 78759 got a soaking.  And my dog was in full cowering pussy mode as thunder cracked right over the roof.

After all the noise, brief piss in Hyde Park tonight.  And that is ok given the rain we've had this week with more to come.

I'm in Austin. I got 1.5" between 8:10 and 8:30 last night. It fucking opened up on me.

I was at that game and crowded around the 50 yard line with the rest of the drunks after all the pussies ran away. They didnt stop the game for shit.

Was drinking straight of my flask so i could put the lid on to keep the rain out.

Rosedale Surlies, make your way to Ramsey park, we will start cutting down trees and tearing up picnic tables to make an ark.

My annual "I was there" roll call.

Man, seeing the track, Reebok, Ricky, JB, Phil Dawson... Seems like 100 years ago.

I'd give just about anything to have that rushing attack from 100 years ago.  Well, anything except Vince Young's years.  And half of Colt's.

Only about a quarter of that amount of time.

Question, will I be able to piss myself tonight in the stands and everyone be non the wiser?

As long as your Herman hydrated

I’m up to almost 2.5 inches for the week. Little jealous of some folks, but at least it’s come from multiple rounds so the ground was able to take all the length

Last week in the LT watershed.... nice. Sadly what we need is another 7+ inches next week too. Lake levels haven’t budged an inch hardly from all of this. Fingers crossed last night will add some though.

Doesn’t help that LCRA is continuing to release water at a rate greater than combined inflows. Fuck the LCRA.

Weird that Austin got a flash flood warning and didn’t rain but a drop

Had a watch, still under one.  Warning? Don't think so.

It’s pouring in 77389 right now.

Very disappointed in 78757 today. Basically a bust on the day.

We ended up with just over 3.5 inches of rain in about an 1.5 hours. It’s cooled off nicely too.

Rained like a mofo out here in Marathon. I was supposed to give an astrophotography talk. Nothing depresses a crowd of astronomers and astrophotography buffs more than a hard rain does.

Not even the death of their child?

Looks like that train runs all the way down to the border and it's going to just run right over us.

Went to an open HEB this morning, and there was maybe one other person with an umbrella. It’s not like this was sudden. It’s literally been raining for hours.

raining like a bitchsicle over here in the 23 is
